The specified column is read only and cant be modified

I have been starting to get this error the past couple of days, but I am not sure what the issue. when a user create a record (saved in SharePoint), and then wants to go back to edit it. I get the following: 

The specified column is read only and cant be modified

at another point, I got this error message as well:

The requested operation is invalid. Server Response: RAIL List failed: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131904 clientRequestId: bc2f77b0-c1c4-4efc-826c-c7a77425bbb1 serviceRequestId: bc2f77b0-c1c4-4efc-826c-c7a77425bbb1

I don't even know which column it is referring to or anything.  A sample of the form is down below...

And on the onselect of the Update RAIL item button is:

What is the main issue?? I tried disconnecting the Sharepoint data sources, and reconnectiong them, but that didn't help..

@BadriPradhan solution did work but now that older authoring version has gone so back to having issues. Microsoft what are you doing?!?!?

@rockshahCurrently I am using the (3.23121.20) authoring version it is the default version of Power Apps Studio.
There are no issues, so I am using the default version.

I created a Simple sharepoint list named "Test" and it consist of 4 columns, Title, Requestor (Person type), Approval Status (Choice), Description (Multi line text) and i added some of the records.

Now i created a Power app and added a Gallery control that display the records from the SharePoint list and then added a Checkbox control to the Gallery for each record. For the Checkbox control I defined some of the properties:

OnCheck: Collect(varstatus,ThisItem)

OnUncheck: Remove(varstatus,ThisItem)

Default: ThisItem in varstatus

Then i added a Combobox control and for the Datasource property i set it to
Choices('Test List'.'Approval Status')

I also added a Button control and for the button control OnSelect property i set it to:

UpdateIf(varstatus,true,{'Approval Status':{Value:ComboBox1.Selected.Value}});
Patch('Test List',varstatus);
Clear(varstatus)

Now when i am playing the app and selecting two records from the gallery and selecting a Approval status from Combobox control and pressing the Button i am getting the error.

What am i doing wrong and why it shows me that Network error when using Patch function: the specified column is read-only and can't be modified

For me, no matter what coding language I’m using, I’ve learned to step back and look at the data structures being used. The ‘varstatus’ variable is a collection of SharePoint list records populated using the gallery’s ThisItem. This structure matches the list. The Combobox is a set of values populated using the Choices function. This structure represents a single column. As a result, the two structures are incompatible. One way to see the data structure resulting from Choices(…) is to create a test Gallery with the Items property set to Choices('Test List'.'Approval Status').

Mine is almost identical, and I'm getting the same error. I understand that we are patching the collection to the selected items in the SharePoint list. But is it trying to patch the modified etc. column to it as well? Which is Read Only. 

UPDATE: It's a bug - I saved and closed. Closed the browser, restarted the app in editor and it went. Cmon MS!

There are occasions when the Power App designer can get confused. For instance, when in design mode and the underlying SharePoint list structure has been changed. Refreshing the connector typically resolves the structure difference however, if a variable was populated with the prior data structure the tooling is not able to reconcile so it displays errors. Saving, closing the designer and re-opening the designer can resolve this type of error.
