Thread for modern advanced find and enhanced view management with 2022 release wave 1

We recently released a modern advanced find that replaces the legacy experiences and adds powerful enhancements to how you can personalize and manage views.

Hi @sriharibs,

Thanks for the reply. I also noticed there is currently no warning if you attempt to click off of a new view without saving. It would be extremely beneficial for a prompt to appear to ensure users don't accidentally leave the screen without saving any changes made to personalized views

Thank you for the feedback! We will consider addressing this in a future update.

1) If I create a personal view using the new  feature, I can save it as new …. but if I then edit it (by adding/removing columns or filters) I cannot save that now-current view (there is no "Save changes to current view" choice ). I have to save it again as a new view . That’s a nuisance, and if I’ve shared it, I will need to re-share it, delete the old one, etc. 
2) When adding columns to a view, they do not always appear. For example,

  • I created a view of Completed Activities on Opportunities where the Related (opportunity) exists, and included a column name from the opportunity .... All fine,
  • I then added a column to show the Related (Opportunity) Created On date … it didn’t appear, even though that column was filtered on that field “Contains data”
  • Same with Related (Opportunity) Status … … it didn’t appear, even though that column was filtered on that field “Contains data”

I'm unable to reproduce both issues.

1) I am able to see the option to save changes to current view. Note that you would have to be the owner of a view to save changes to it.

2) I am able to add a related table column to an activities view, and also filter on it.

I am looking for the Lead Score in the new advanced view. It shows up in CRM Toolbox, but not in New Advanved View

@CliffReeves I wasn't able to see that table in legacy advanced find or Maker portal. Looks like it's an internal table. I'll find out more, but the XRM toolbox may be the only way you can access it.

@sriharibs Is the issue with the View Width solved by now? We had already reported this back in September 2021 (TrackingID#2108240050000583) and I just saw that the new Advanced Find will be rolled out to all customers in October now, so I hope the issue will be resolved before then? 

Yes, @RHOU the ability to change the width of columns in a view and save that into the view is shipped. It is available for you when you enable modern advanced find. And hence, will be available for everyone when we roll out modern advanced find with 2022 Wave 2.

@sriharibs Are you saying that I should be seeing the ability to change column widths on a personal view and save that change in my Environment currently (on 2022 release Wave 1)?  Or, are you saying that I will not see that until Wave 2 is deployed?

@MBates If you enable 2022 Wave 2 on your environment, you will be able to save columns widths into a view. Here is what it looks like.1.gif

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Users must provide a solution which can be an “Accepted Solution” in the Forums in all of the communities and there are no limits to the number of “Accepted Solutions” that a member can provide for entries in this challenge, but each entry must be substantially unique and different.    Winner Selection and Prizes: At the end of each week, we will list the top ten (10) Community users which will consist of: 5 Community Members & 5 Super Users and they will advance to the final drawing. We will post each week in the News & Announcements the top 10 Solution providers.  At the end of the challenge, we will add all of the top 10 weekly names and enter them into a random drawing.  Then we will randomly select ten (10) winners (5 Community Members & 5 Super Users) from among all eligible entrants received across all weekly Entry Periods to receive the prize listed below. If a winner declines, we will draw again at random for the next winner.  A user will only be able to win once overall. If they are drawn multiple times, another user will be drawn at random.  Individuals will be contacted before the announcement with the opportunity to claim or deny the prize.  Once all of the winners have been notified, we will post in the News & Announcements of each community with the list of winners.   Each winner will receive one (1) Pass to the Power Platform Conference in Las Vegas, Sep. 18-20, 2024 ($1800 value).
