Updating Sharepoint Entry from a Gallery item with only the new columns used in the new form being added to the existing item entry

Hi Team,

I currently have a WorkersDetailsPage that displays the outcome of an initial form submission.

The initial form creates an entry in a Sharepoint list that i display as a gallery
for users to click each item and submit a form that updates the specific columns used for that entry in particular.
My current workflow creates a new entry in my sharepoint list instead of updating the selected entry.

On the icon from the gallery:
Navigate('Trailer Inspection Form', ScreenTransition.Fade, { driver: ThisItem })

On the save button on which i am testing:
SubmitForm([@WorkerDriverForm]);Navigate([@AllDriverQueue])

Form2 is a collection of text inputs, yes/no options, time submitted column, and person column.
Please let me know how i can modify my current setup to update changes as needed without creating a new entry.

Hi @Ydeznutz 

First, the mode of the form is set using a NewForm(Form1), EditForm(Form1) and ViewForm(Form1).  These functions make the form ready to create a new record, modify an existing record, or place the form in read-only mode.  Your gallery icon is missing this function.  I would modify it as below:   

EditForm(WorkerDriverForm);
Navigate('Trailer Inspection Form', ScreenTransition.Fade)

I removed the  {driver: ThisItem} because there is a better way to specify your selected record.*

Additionally, you should have an icon outside the gallery( "+" ) with this function. 

NewForm(WorkerDriverForm);
Navigate('Trailer Inspection Form', ScreenTransition.Fade)

In the form, have the datasource "SPlist" replaced with the actual name of your list. 
* Have the Item property of the form Lookup(SPlist, ID=Gallery1.Selected.ID).  

replace Gallery1 in the Lookup() with the name of your gallery. 

FYI all SharePoint lists have an ID column that is hidden but can be referenced like in the Lookup() above.

When the form is in edit mode, it will select the record picked in your gallery to edit.

When the form is in New mode, the Item property is ignored because the record doesn't exist until you save it. 

There should never be anything other than SubmitForm(WorkerDriverForm) in your Submit button.  Any other commands you want to put in the OnSuccess property of the form itself.  You wouldn't want to Navigate([@AllDriverQueue]) if the form was not successfully submitted.

Check the form mode. If it is set to New it will create a new item and if it is set to Edit and the Item property has a record value then it will update the record.
