Use Sharepoint lookup column of a filtered table to filter Record in a Gallery

Dear All,

I've a problem with a filter in a canvas app. 

I've a Gallery and I want show Items of a Sharepoint list related to another through a lookup column

List1 : list of person --> ID (default list index), Name (text), Surname (text)

List2 : list related to list1 through a lookup column --> ID (default list index), Column1 (text), Active (true/false), LookUp_Column (pointing to Surname) 

LookUp column is an object composed by (ID of List1 and Surname)

Code to populate Gallery using Items property

Filter(List1 , ID in Filter(List2, Actve = true ).LookUp_Column.ID

Alternative Code

Filter(List1 , ID in Choices(Filter(List2, Actve = true ).LookUp_Column).ID

But no codes above works

Could you help me ?

Dear RodCha,

thanks for links, they are very useful, but in my case the problem isn't about simple data types used to filter tables or collections.

My problem is about the use of the data in lookup columns (data type is complex), in my case I need to filter the "List2" using column "Active" after that I want obtain the list of ID contained in the LookUp_Column of the filtered table and as the last operation filter the "List1" in order to obtain the records with the ID contained in the list

Do you want to filter list1 based on the LookUp column?

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

I think you should reference to the Id of the LookUp column instead of the ID.

Thank you, it works as i need. There's some problem about delegation, but my list doesn't exceed 500 rows.

Hi @MaloA_Gamma,

If your records less than 500, you could just ignore the delegation warning because it always comes with operators that are nondelegable like "in".
