User not getting email thru ask in Powerapps function only I get when clicked on button

Hi Team, 

 

Error Details:  

The specified object was not found in the store., The process failed to get the correct properties.

 

 

this is my flow and it asks input in Powerapps. Only I am getting the email with attachment but not any other user. if they click on button to export the CSV file they get error. 

 

My code is as per below:

Hi,

 

So, its because you are sending on behalf of this shared mailbox from the app - it checks if that person currently using the app when the button is clicked has the rights to send from that mailbox. The account you are building the app/flows with may have access to send from this mailbox, but they do not.

This is how all flows triggered from an app work - they trigger under the user context

 

When its triggered from outside the app, they will use whatever account has been set for the action/connection in the flow

 

so to work from within the app, you need to use a flow action that doesn't send on behalf of another mailbox - just use the normal 'Send an Email V2' instead of 'send from a shared mailbox' - it will use their own email to send themself an email then if you keep all the other same To: and other values

Hi!

It looks like you are triggering the flow from within the app, which will make it run under the user's context, and as you are using a 'send on behalf'/'Send as' action, sending from the vacationmanagement mailbox, the other users will all need sending rights from that account if you wish to do it this way.

 

I would suggest instead writing to a SharePoint list from the app and then having the flow triggered 'when an item is created in ListName', then the connections and mailboxes you use will always be based on the creator of the flow rather than the individual user's context.

Hi Sancho, Thanks for writing. But can you simplify the solution? 

adding to my query - I'm willing that Whenever user clicks on Export to Excel button he should be able to get the report on his email in CSV format. at present you're right that only I'm getting it only email thru VactionManagement@XXXXX.com

 

However, there is another flow which is based on 'when an item is created' in sharepoint list email notification triggers to the requestor from same account. check below screenshot. Then why there is problem when triggered from app using button to email from this shared mailbox with attachment??

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
