Variable Not Working to Hide Controls

I have several DatePickers in a Gallery1.

I have ResetBtn1 in Gallery1.

ResetBtn1 has UpdateContext({varDateReset: Blank()}) in its OnSelect.

I have several fields and controls that I want visible or not based on the reset of certain DatePickers.

The DatePickers have varDateReset in their DefaultDate.

The fields and controls have !IsBlank(DataPicker.SelectedDate) in their visible property.

As I understand the above - When I click the ResetBtn1, the variable DateReset should empty the DatePicker(s) and make the appropriate fields and controls NOT visible, yes? Because it is not working for me. What am I missing?

Do you wanto make the date picker visible or not just based on clicking the current section, which is your mentioned appropriate fields?

Could you please tell me that if each date picker has corresponding date value in your data source?

Here is the thing, within the Gallery, the same control will be controlled with one shot, which means the variable is created for all the date pickers and is reset for all the date pickers if you click the reset button.

To control the visibility of each field, we should combine the record value of the appropriate fields so that an identifier will help us to define which date date picker to be chosen.

To achieve your need, we should update the date value in your data source instead of a variable, here is the solution:

1). ResetBtn1 has the following for the OnSelect:

Patch(DataSource, ThisItem,{DateField:Blank()})

2). The DatePickers have the following in their DefaultDate:

ThisItem.DateField

3). The fields and controls have  in their visible property.

!IsBlank(DataPicker.SelectedDate)

This action is actually taking place in a 'New' entry process where I am using a Gallery with a series of fields and controls rather than a 'New' form with cards.

The questions (Labels) and controls (datepicker, dropdowns, and auto-populated Labels/Text Inputs) are all NOT visible when the screen opens - only one 'initiating' blank datepicker is visible.

All other fields appear and/or populate based on the choices made in previous datepickers or dropdowns. Subsequent fields/controls appear in the same manner.

The task - If the user gets through 20, 30, 60 percent of the 'New' entry and decides it's best to start over they need the ability to clear all existing fields and reset the datepickers to blank - meaning all fields/controls will become NOT visible, as if the default view at open.

I am trying to accomplish this task with the reset button that has the variable that resets the datepickers and the fields.

Okay, now I get your logic behind your need.

What I am trying to explain to you is that you need to combine the date picker with the date field value of each record in your Gallery so that you could reset the appropriate date picker not all the date pickers in your Gallery.

How do I combine the "date picker with the date field value of each record".

To clarify, it doesn't matter to me if ALL the date pickers are reset and not just a specific one, there are only four total in the Gallery.

Example:
     1.The Gallery opens with only Start Date (Picker) visible.
     2. Entering data therein make End Date (Picker) appear.
     3. Entering a date in End Date makes the first questions and associated Dropdown (which contains "Yes" or
        "No" as choices) visible.
     4. The Label with the question and the associated Dropdown have !IsBank(EndDatePicker.SelectedDate) in their
         Visible property.
     5. My reset button has the reset variable UpdateContext({varDateReset: Blank()}).
     6.Start Date and End Date have the variable in their default.
     7. When the button is pressed both date pickers clear thus making the question and Dropdown no longer
         visible.

I also want the reset variable to fire at OnStart or when Gallery1 appear to make sure all fields and controls -except Start Date are NOT visible.
     
                            Start Date:                     End Date: (only visible if Start Date has  content)
     1. Is today Thursday?   Yes/No (both question and dropdown only appear if End Date has content)
