Video error when opening in Dynamics 365

Hello 

 

Each time I publish a new version of my App the videos in the App display an error in Dynamics 365.  The videos work fine on the phone apps and the iPad app. 

 

The error reads:  <Error><Code>BlobNotFound</Code><Message>The specified blob does not exist.  RequestId:2ee7fd0b-001e-0013-5741-500d88000000 Time:2017-10-28T23:05:32.8227389Z</Message></Error>

 

Can you help so that I can start publishing new versions with updated content?

I can reproduce this issue on my side.

 

When I set an URL as the Video’s Media property, then once I made any changes on the app, when I open it on the Web player, I will get the error message likes below:

I will help report this issue on my side.

 

As a workaround, you may try to upload the video under Media>Video first, then set the Video’s Media property as the name of the video. By this way, though you have made changes on the app then open it on Web player, you won’t get the error message.

1.  These are YouTube videos.  Should I set it to the name of the Youtube video.

2.  I have several videos in the app.  The App worked fine until Saturday Morning with all of the other videos.  How do I find the video/videos that are causing the issue without having to delete all my videos? 

3. When I revert back to an older version of the App it operates fine with the videos and no error is present.

 

Please give step by step instructions to help limit number of communications.

Also,  even when I am not adding a new video; I get the error with ANY new publishing.  I keep having to revert back to an older version that works, but I can't edit it or publish a new version because ther Error shows up again.

 

 

Please help ASAP as I have 300 students needing access to the new content in the App!

This appears to be a system wide issue.  When do you think we will get a fix?  Can Microsoft revert back to an earlier deployment of PowerApps while they work on the issue?

We are working on hotfix to this issue. Fix is prepared and in preparation to get deployed.

About the workaround I provided, you need to download the video first, then upload the video to PowerApps.


To upload the video, please click File>Media>Video>Browse to upload the video.


Then you could set the Video control’s Media property to the name of the video.

When testing this issue on my side, the error message will appear on the video, so I think it will be easy to know videos that are causing the issue.

You cannot download YouTube videos. There is a system wide issue please get it fixed ASAP!

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can.
