What is the maximum number of flows that one user can create

Hi,

What is the maximum number of flows that one user can create.

As per the below link it's 50

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Flow-Discussion/What-is-the-maximum-number-of-flows-that...

As per the below link it's unlimited but run count is limited based on license.

https://india.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/

Also Plan 2 allows to run 15,000 runs a month.  What should do if i need more than that in a month.

Hi @azeesdinu

There is no hard limit

Cetainly not 50 - I have over 100 Flows I have created in my tenant

The way licensing works is suppose you have 10 licensed users

base Microsoft Flow license (no premium)

then your teannt has a total of 10*2000=20000 Flow runs per month

This is a pool of Flow runs which is shared by all users

So user 1 can consume 19k and user 2 can consume 1k then other users will have no runs left

These runs are reset every billing cycle

If your tenant reaches the max limit, the Flows will not run and will continue the followign month

You can purchase additional flow runs when required (see the licensing page for details)

as far as plan 2 goes

so lets say 9 users have flow license and 1 user has flow plan 2

then ur total tenant runs would be

9*2000 = 18000 + 1*15000 = 33000

Again 33k is a pool which all users share

Its not dedicated

Hope I was able to explain this well

Reza Dorrani

Does someone know what Microsoft means by this "DAILY api request" limit of 2000 per user ? What's the Micosoft definition of "API request" for flow and "API calls" for PowerApps ?

Depending on the number of loops contained in a Flow, this limit may seem to be reached very quickly.

Add-ons do exist, but additional number API requests are not pooled.

If 300 users can trigger the flow and that I am close to the limits in term of API call, it means that it will require 300 users * $ 50 = $ 15,000 a month for per user/month plan ?

Just to add some sprinkle to @RezaDorrani 's comment.

This setup will change slightly on October 1, 2019 with the introduction of the new standalone plans. All flows will now have "unlimited" runs with a now dedicated DAILY api request limit of 2000 per user. This will be a monumental leap to replacing SharePoint Designer with Flow as with InfoPath is to be replaced by PowerApps by 2026.

HI RezaDorrani

If my understanding is correct, Flow license is based on run count and the count is common for tenant not user specific.

Could you please explain in detail about PowerApps license.

PowerApps comes with three  Office 365, P1 and P3.

I have 500+users in my organization, But only 10+ developers. Do I need to buy license for 1000 users ? or only developers is enough ?

Hi @azeesdinu

That is correct

run count is common for tenant - it is a shared pool

That is what I mentioned in my post earlier

I am so confused at this point. I have some table as data source (Excel). Each table have 150 lines with at least, 2 cells per line that I update with patching from PowerApps, so 300 cells.

If I have 2000 runs per month means that I can patch a table 2000/300 = 6,67 times in a single month?

That's my interpretation too

Someone says:

This is a pool of Flow runs which is shared by all users

Is there some official documentation about this?
