Why the SharePoint list not automatically updating if a new record created or edited the status filed for existing records sometime?

Hello,

The issue is the SharePoint list not automatically updating if a new record created or edited the status filed for existing records. there were no issues for 6 months since the app released, but recently we've seen some users have to refresh the pages for the list to update if plugged the laptop from one desk station to another without clear the Browsing data of history. always need 2-3 refreshes on the page to update. it shows automatically for some people but not for others. no web part , no flow related. Customized the form used PowerApps. any suggestions? Many Thanks in advance!

My list has about 300 entries and is a key tracking tool for my work. It is becoming almost impossible to manage this problem - or have any confidence to encourage other staff to utilise tools like this.

Any MS answers I have seen on this are not addressing the problem, just offering vague answers. Tried every solution suggested. Will soon have to start over with another application.

Why hasn't this been fixed? Refreshing does not have any effect, no matter how many times I try it. It makes the Lists feature totally worthless and unusable. What am I paying for here? To me it means that any attempt to get a Power App working is going to be a total waste of time and money.

 

Do a hard refresh that clears the cache of your browser.

  1. Windows users: hold down Ctrl and then press F5 on your keyboard.
  2. Mac users: hold down Cmd and Shift and then press R on your keyboard.

@TrevorMorrice1  thanks for the suggestion. However already learnt about the trick of clearing browser cache. In fact, that is the only think that assists at all but it is short lived. It only takes a few more record additions or changes, and back to the same problem. Additions/changes either take forever to re-appear, or they disappear altogether.

Hi Isak. No solution forthcoming. As previously mentioned, I have investigated a lot, tried every solution offered. The only thing that seems to make any difference is clearing browser cache. However recently, after experiencing same issue of new or edited list items not appearing, I left it in disgust, went back to it a week later without clearing the brower history and it worked perfectly that time! So not even sure that is really the cause.

Getting to the end of the year, and the issue still in place.
Now I added an item manually, with the hope that it could bring back the new ones created by a flow, and I came with this:

I changed the form that I wanted to see when opening an item, and it neither reflect the change. Clearing the cache didn't help. If I open the list from a clean browser, it shows some missing information, but not all.

The more I use the tools from MS, the more I dislike them.

A prompt stable solution must be given to this.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Users must provide a solution which can be an “Accepted Solution” in the Forums in all of the communities and there are no limits to the number of “Accepted Solutions” that a member can provide for entries in this challenge, but each entry must be substantially unique and different.    Winner Selection and Prizes: At the end of each week, we will list the top ten (10) Community users which will consist of: 5 Community Members & 5 Super Users and they will advance to the final drawing. We will post each week in the News & Announcements the top 10 Solution providers.  At the end of the challenge, we will add all of the top 10 weekly names and enter them into a random drawing.  Then we will randomly select ten (10) winners (5 Community Members & 5 Super Users) from among all eligible entrants received across all weekly Entry Periods to receive the prize listed below.
