delegation error message

CountIf( List, name = sname.Text And 'done yes or no' = "Done")

1- I get delegation  error message  /\ also  runs but  return the  correct value - 1 

2-  filter( List, name = sname.Text And 'done yes or no' = "Done") but  I delegation error message and no value returned.

am not sure what I doing wrong...

Hi @burmoh ,

I did a simple test for you but I did not encounter your problem.

Please see the steps:

1\  My list

2\ My textinput

3\ Set the delegation setting to '2'.

3\ My label 

// Because of the delegation ,it shows 2 rather than 3.

4\ My combo box

So if you use combo box control ,please check its DisplayFields property.

If you use dropdown , please check its Value.

hi thanks for trying but you set rows to what if you have it at 500 default would  you get 3 or 2 if you get 2 you do not  return value is wrong...  same as mine... why ...if not  I do not know what am doing wrong

If I change the setting to 500, it will return 3 items.

The number returned by label and combo box is the same.

okay my rows are set to  500 however counif start counting for 0 not one is there a setting I can change not sure what  is wrong is it the table  setting need to change at this point I have no clue  it  works for you 

also  how can I fixe the delegation error message

Hi @burmoh ,

So, Is there an Item that meets the conditions among the first 500 data in the list?

If no item meets the condition, then it will not return any data, which is the expected result.

Because this is a limitation of delegation.

Hi  

I  fixed the issue was with SharePoint list  I new to this I made a manual entry in share point and it did not like.

i removed  that record and I added using the the app I have created. now my counts works  I   still have the  delegations error the yellow  triangle and  also filter is  not working for me.  I am not  sure why .... it would be great to know why.. maybe I need learn about how  filter works .. using the same format instead if  countif  I am using filter it is not returning anything

Hi @burmoh ,

Delegation is a warning not an error. (Introduction of delegation)

If the data in your list is less than 500, it will not have any bad effect on the result.

So, if there is only a little data in your list, I think it’s just that the condition of your filter function is wrong, not the problem of delegation.
