display gallery of second sharepoint form on same screen as other editForm control

You may have seen my previous posts regarding this app - due to some decisions being made about the app during the course of today it's been decided that I should use a SharePoint EditForm control (blue background)....

and a Modal patch form (upon clicking the "New Topic" button (green):

The "Add Topic" (green) button includes this Patch fx:

When new Topics are added on the Topic screen, they should appear in the "TopicsClaims" gallery:

Both the EditForm control and Patch are independently saving data to their own lists which is great.

When I select the "Save building" button, immediately after, all the form fields are reset - noting that their Reset values are set to "varResetthemAll" so shouldn't be affected by the Patch "varResetTopicFields" variable.
The OnSelect of my EditForm control = SubmitForm(DocData_form);Set(varFormMode,"Saved");

Is this normal behaviour? We have a requirement for the fields to remain with the values in them, after submit. 

On the home screen, we have a gallery showing the list of buildings:

On the NewReport button, I am using this code for the OnSelect:

On the green icon with the document icon at the right of each item I have this code set on the OnSelect:

What I need to do is link the TopicsClaim gallery so that it lists the correct Topics that are related to the main SharePoint EditForm control item (when it is selected from the Home Screen gallery).

The main identifier we want to use to link both items is the "Building" name. Since this item is selected in the main EditForm control and saved to its corresponding SharePoint list (DocData) - when a new Topic is created, the Patch also writes the Building name to the TopicsClaim list item - and seeing as there will only be one item for each building on the DocData list we though linking via the Building name would be the best fit. 

Could someone explain how I should do that?

You need to create a Collection that contains the items from the TopicsClaims List where the Building field matches the Building field in the DocData item selected. NOTE: This makes the assumption that there will only ever be 1 record for a Building)

Where colLinkedTopicsClaimsRecords is the Collection.

Set your "TopicsClaims" gallery Items property to colLinkedTopicsClaimsRecords.
