new look for Power Apps

We recently launched a preview of the new look for model driven app Power Apps. Details here.  As you try out the preview, please tell us what you think.  In the coming weeks we'll be talking more about how modern controls, using the Microsoft Fluent design system, will be coming to canvas apps, theming is also on the horizon (about time!).  We're keen to hear people's thoughts and feedback on all those topics here.

Microsoft only makes available their consensus site for new features. They offer no clear way for citizen developers to report bugs/issues. If you are a big enough company you may have a dedicated path to reach the engineering team. I have discovered so many defect / bugs that should be addressed with no way to get them into the Microsoft backlog.

Yes, I fixed it for the first round of new look.  This is the fluent theme:

The fix to set the environment variable does not work and we have users getting tons of JS errors.  I have over 1000 users in over 5 environments.

Checking in to see if there is any fix/workaround for getting the custom XML colors for a line chart to work in the new look as others have noted.  We have had to revert to the old look for now, and we would prefer not to have to do that.  Is this a known defect or is it on the roadmap to have this feature work for custom chart colors?

Created a case with Microsoft, they are supposed to be updating their documentation to the follow.  This worked for us to disable the new look:

1. Open the environment in Power Apps (Power Apps | Solutions)
2. Create a new solution.
3. Select Add existingàMoreàSettings
4. Search for “New Look For A Model”
5. Select New look for model driven apps
6. NextàAdd
7. Edit the setting +New environment value, set to No.
8. Save and Publish

Hi @pblbsyl , we fixed the custom chart colours in a recent build which is rolling out to customers.  You should see it in a few weeks.

Thank you for taking the time to gather feedback. Our organization is facing an issue in new look where our custom reports are not redirecting into the correct URL. The URL open from new look does not contain the RDL and appID parameter which leads to the below screen.

All the custom reports can be open in non- new look without any issue. Do you have any idea if this is a known issue in new look?

Looks like an update was pushed for the modern button, to introduce icons. This is great news!

However, there appears to be a significant regression in how the Appearance property works with a BasePaletteColor value being populated. Now, for 'ButtonCanvas.Appearance'.Secondary' the button is not white, but has the fill of the BasePaletteColor.

I have many scenarios where I switch the Appearance of a button, based on context, and now my buttons are always the same fill, but the text is conditional for Primary, and black for secondary.
