"Invalid operation: division by zero"

I keep getting an error "Invalid operation: division by zero" once I enter my power app - The first screen has items that are required to be selected which are then shown on a 2nd screen once submitted with a status bar showing which items are approved out of the total items selected (through a flow). At least 1 item will be selected each time and I dont know how to get rid of this error message popping up every time I enter the app. Heres the code to the "Select Item" button. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'm pretty sure that the cause of this error isn't related to the formula that you posted. There's no division operation in your formula, so it's highly unlikely to be the cause of this error.

The more likely cause will be formula in the OnStart property of your app, or other formula in control properties on your initial screen.

I'd diagnose this further by doing a global search for the "/" character in your app. Alternatively, you could run a monitor session to find the source of the error.

Once you find the division operator that causes the error, you can use @TheRobRush's suggestion to hide it.

I would check the output of your CountRows function by adding just that statemnt to a control. This value is probably 0 when the app loads which is why you are getting the error.

 

I am having the same issue on an app I just made to calculate taxes for a single filer in IL. What is happening is when the page is loaded there is a TON of math going on and all of it is based on the yearly pre-tax salary. The yearly pre-tax salary is calculated based on user input into a text input. Currently that default is blank and so when I take the value of that it returns 0 (zero). This is then used to calculate other values and this is where my error is popping up. There are a few ways to fix this. First I could make the default of that box 10 or 15 or something so that the error doesnt happen when the page loads. The problem with this is that the user will eventually backspace the value and add their own and when the default value is removed teh value will be 0 again momentarily and the error will be thrown again. This brings me to the 2nd and better solution. I am going to use an If Statement in the box that shows the error that first checks if the value in the hourly rate box is 0. If it is then make that value 0 else I will do my normal calculations. This is the same thing you need to do once you find where the 0 is popping up at. Here is an image of what is happening:

Given that the the / is a text (wrapped in double quotes) in this formula, this is not the one that is causing issues either.
