two list sharepoint

hello, please your help, I have an app, in which I select a field from a gallery the value of the selection is left in a variable X, then in a second sheet, with a form I show some fields from the same list of the gallery, the item in the form corresponds to the variable X, but now I need to show the data on a third screen also in a form, but from another list, the problem is that for the item the variable X does not work for me and I do not know how to direct it to the desired item in that list, both lists have in common that what I want to show has the same ID. For example: in list one I look for ID 117 and in list 2 I also look for 117

Hi @jgarciac

So lets step back again,

What I asked is, you have 1 Gallery, that you are using the Filter for 2 other Screens that have Tables in there.

When you select a row on the gallery, it sets a global variable that is a copy of that Row (not just a value), I can tell because of the code you have in your set. So when you were saying I am trying to use ID x, that's not accurate at all, because you are not passing an ID, nor are you doing any filtering in either of your Forms.

Form 1, all the data shows up when you do this. Meaning that the Record from the Gallery itself, matches exactly how the data source you applied to Form 1 needs it to.

QUESTION: What is the DataSource for your Gallery (not the forms I can see that).

Now, let's assume that your Gallery has an ID field which I see it does called ID. Now I don't know if the NAME is ID, or thats just the Label you gave that column, but lets assume its ID.

You should NOT be grabbing the whole record you should be grabbing the ID.

Instead of

Set(_myvariable, Gallery.Selected) which is the entire row

Change it to

Set(_myVariable, Gallery.Selected.ID <== pick the ColumnName that has the ID you want the other two to load)

In Form 1

DataSource (stays the same as it is)

Item = LookUp(MyDataSource, IDColumn = _myVariable); // this will then do a look up on the forms datasource, and match the ID you selected in the gallery to the ID field in that datasource.

Remember to Change the MyDataSource and the ID part of my example to match the name of your datasource, and THAT datasources column that has the ID

In Form 2

Do the same thing

DataSource Stays the same

Item = LookUp(My2ndDataSource, IDColumn = _myVariable)

So that we are on the same page

What is the Column Name in both DataSource 1 and 2 that holds the ID value that you get from the Gallery?

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

Cheers

Hi @jgarciac

Please use pictures and code, instead of paragraphs to explain the problem, it just doesn't translate with just words.

But it sounds like you have 2 forms.

Both forms are linked to different Lists.

Each List supposedly has a value for the same X value

You are able to show the data from List 1 on Form 1

But from List 2 Form 2 you dont.

That means your Filter on the Form 2 is wrong. Please share pictures of your code (item(s) in both forms), also provide pictures of the data sources List 1 and 2 showing it has the same column name and value.

In the first image I select a field and set the variable, in the second image it is correct it loads the data from the SharePoint 1 list, but in the third image it does not bring me the values from the other SharePoint list

Modifying the set of the variable gave me an error, but taking the idea I only modified the filter item of my list 2 as indicated and in that way it showed me the data.

Item = LookUp(My2ndDataSource, IDColumn = _myVariable.ID)

Thanks a lot!!!
