This isn’t urgent, just curious as I can work around it so long – but it’s really bugging me to know why it’s doing this!
While replying to a question on the forum, I discovered my Edge browser experience in web studio suddenly became regionalised to somewhere else.
This is evident in the formula syntax – list chaining uses ; instead of , which my region normally uses.
Something’s changed somewhere and I’m not sure if it was me that changed it, but I can’t see where or how.
Initially I was trawling through regional settings on my laptop (all correct), then in PA Admin and even Dynamics to try find the problem – but it all seems fine. The only two regions and languages I can see are English and the regions I've always used (SA and US).
Then I tried a different browser (Chrome) – and the regionalisation syntax is normal…

After much tinkering, I've managed to figure a few things out and get my syntax back 🙂
Firstly, my assumption that Excel and PowerApps were tied to the same settings was incorrect. Changing language configurations affected Excel, but did not affect PowerApps through Edge.
Secondly, depending on your version of Windows 10, the setting you're looking for sits under Privacy, not language:
Toggling this off allowed me to revert my system to SA English with US English Number formatting, successfully forcing Edge (and therefore PowerApps) to use the correct decimal and list separators.
As an aside, while the South African number official formatting IS actually spaces for thousands separator and comma for decimal separator, (one million = 1 000 000,00) almost 50 years of westernised-by-default computer interactions leaves us with a nation of tech-savvy people who are used to the US formatting (one million = 1,000,000.00)
Right or wrong, it's still a good idea to let people choose based on preference - so go ahead and use this config to correct your syntax if you've got the same problem, but also upvote this idea to provide user-based syntax preferences for PowerApps.

Thanks for sharing that screenshot. I think what's happening here is that in Windows > Settings , your preferred language is set to English (South Africa) and that's the reason why Edge is picking up that locale.
If that's the case, you can fix this by adding English US and moving that to the top of the list.
If you don't want to make this system wide language change, the only way you appear to be able to make this change is through a registry change.
