Problem with Excel upload

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering issues while attempting to import an Excel file into a table.

Error:

,"General error","Type=Microsoft.Dynamics.Integrator.Exceptions.IntegratorClientException, Msg=Unable to parse import file 5662e6f6429341348f36a490dbbeb015_AdditionalLocations.xlsx Error details PQOnline failure - Type=System.Net.WebException, Msg=The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request."

Thanks, converting to csv file can now import.

Tried to use the Import Data option and looks like need a SharePoint or OneDrive License to use Excel import

I was getting the same error message.  However, I used the same import button, but I selected import data instead of import data from excel.  This option walked me through the process and ended up showing up as a dataflow.

Hi All,

Make sure the file you downloaded from Power Query window is in proper format. The error message suggests that it is a parsing issue. Just ensure both are of same format.

Hi, you have to run the app (use play button) and then select import from Excel > csv and the import window will pop up.

Hi,

I got the following error when trying to import the Excel file in the locations table:

The file could not be uploaded for Location: [UnknownError] Type=Microsoft.Dynamics.Integrator.Exceptions.IntegratorClientException, Msg=Excel file with more than one sheet is currently not supported.

Checked the Excel file; it is only one sheet, also the file is not open in Excel. I think this should work in Dataverse and is a bug as it offered as an option to import xlsx-files....

Check if there were any hidden sheets in the excel file.
