Accessing Your Community Profile
Your Community Profile page is the place in which you can view your About Me, your badges, change your profile information, view and edit your photos, view and edit your drafts, and more.
- Make sure that you are signed into your community account.
- You can access your profile by clicking on your avatar image on the top right. This will bring up a drop-down menu.
Clicking on 'My profile' will take you to your profile page, from where you can access and edit a variety of profile elements, such as your avatar (see instructions further below).
Retrieving Your Profile URL
For certain support cases, we request that you send us your profile URL.
- In order to get your profile URL, navigate to your profile page (see instructions above).
- Copy and share the resulting URL from the address bar of your browser (usually found on top, by default). Make sure your URL looks similar to below. The ending numbers will be different.
Updating the Time Zone for Your Community Profile.
We encourage community users to ensure that the time zone for your community profile is correct.
- Sign in to your community account
- Click on your avatar
- In the drop-down menu, go to My Settings
Select the 'Preference' tab, and then 'Preference Options'.
Choose your time zone and select 'Save'.
Changing Your Community Profile Picture (Avatar)
Changing your community profile avatar is an easy way to personalize your community identity. You can change your avatar as often as you like. Your current avatar appears at the top of any Community page, to the left of the Notifications and Private Messages icons.
To change your avatar:
- Sign in to your community account
- Click on your avatar
- In the drop-down menu, go to My Settings > Avatars
- Choose a new avatar in one of these ways:
- From the Community: Select one from the presented images to the right of 'Choose an avatar'
- Upload an image from your computer, from 'My Albums', or from another site.
Setting Your Date Display Preferences
Community users have the option of choosing how thier date is displayed.
To change your preferences:
- Sign in to your community account
- Click on your avatar
- In the drop-down menu, go to My Settings
- Select the Preferences tab, select Display
- You can change your date display format by entering the date formate youw ould like to use in the 'Date display format' text box
- Click 'Save' to save your changes
NOTE: Regardless of the format you select, the month must always be a capital 'M', the year must always be a lower case 'y', and the day must always be a lower case 'd'.
You can choose a year display of:
- 2 digits (yy)
- 4 digits (yyyy)
You can choose a month display of:
- Full month name (MMMM)
- Abbreviated month name (MMM)
- 2 digit month number (MM)
The day display format can either be 1 or 2 'd' - they will display the digit the same.
