Hi everyone,
I have the follwoing problem with my canvas app, which uses custom connectors to self made azure functions or external API's. When users try to open the app first time, they are asked to sign/give permissions for the custom connector.
For some users this works without a problem, but some users are unable to login and get the following error:
After two days of troubleshooting I still couldn't figure out what the problem is.
The custom connectors have no authentication and work for some users. I had this issue with my own user, who even has edit permissions on the connectors. I also had the issue with only 2 of the custom connectors.
First i thought it's an issue with permissions, so i gave my account the system administrator role in the powerapps admin center. Then it worked, so i took away the role again and it still worked. But that's not a workaround for the whole company (every employee should be able to use the app). Is there a specific role i need to assign my users or create a custom one?
I'm really confused because I never had this issue before in the development and testing phase of the app, and after I redeployed a new version (with new connectors and already used ones), users get this error. Also i found nothing helpfull about the error message "n is not a function".
Has anybody an idea where the problem could be?

After two days I finally found the solution. I had some test users with which I tried it out. I Checked the respond from the server directly with the developer tools in the browser. The actual error was "user[..]is missing prvReadconnector privilege", which helped a lot.
In my company we have quiet strict policies reagarding user permissions, so not every user had the right to actually read connectors. So I had to find a security role that is assigned to every user who uses the app or create a new security role. The security role needs read right on the property connector, see the following picture.

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge! This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks. The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
