Unable to edit record from Calendar view on list

I have a perplexing problem.  I have a List on my site's Home page.  It's a simple List that displays data from a table called Course and is configured to display as a calendar.  The user has the ability to edit a record, and the target type of the edit is a form called Test Form.  Test Form is a basic form that is also configured for the Course table, with a Mode of edit, a Record Source Type of Query String, and a Record ID Parameter Name of id.  I'm outlining all of this because I believe I have set up my list and form properly (but alas, I may end up ultimately being incorrect).

My problem comes in when I try to click on the Course record in the calendar view.  When I click the record, it expands below the calendar row to show all available courses on that date, which is expected.  However, I cannot click into the Course record whatsoever or find any way to edit the Course record from this view.  I watched a YouTube video on how to set up the calendar view, and the video clearly shows the user simply clicking the record from the calendar view and being able to edit it.

I'm not sure if this is related or not, but whenever I hover my mouse over a Course on the calendar, I get a "javascript:void(0)" message in the far lower-left corner of the screen (highlighted in the screenshot below).

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

UPDATE: Upon inspecting the link, I noticed that the href is pointing to javascript:void(0), which tells me that it's not being linked properly (see screenshot directly below).  I turned off the calendar view temporarily on the list, then inspected the link and found it was pointing to a modal window.

To Edit, configure a Web Page (using the same page template) for your basic edit form.

In the Portal Management App, add that Web Page on the General tab of the List. Instead of the javascript void you should now get a link.

(note: it doesn't work as a Form on the Options grid, only on the General tab)

@Fubar That worked, thank you!  To clarify, I had to perform the following steps:

1. Create a new Web Page and add my edit Form to it.
2. Locate the List in Portal Management, then add the new Web Page to the Web Page for Details View field on the General tab.
