Multistep form and get record id from previous step

Hi,

We have an anonymous access multi step form that has three steps - 

The first step is allows the user to create a record in the Accounts table - 

On clicking Next, they enter the Focal Point details which then creates the Contact table record -

In the multi step form configuration, we have set the Associated Table Reference on the second step and hence when the contact record is created, the Parent Customer Id field is populated. This works as expected.

Now, the third step is an event registration step - 

This table in the last step has Lookup columns to both the Account table and to the Contact table ("Registrant" field) as shown below - 

We are able to populate the Account  ID column of this table using the same Associated Table Reference concept - 

But, we also want to populate the Registrant with the contact Id from the second step. But, since the setup only seems to allow a single "Associated Table Reference" config, we are unable to populate the Registrant field.

First question is why the Associated Table Reference is constrained to only one entry. 

Second question is, how can we get access to the record id of the contact record created in the second step in the third step. If we can get the Contact Id value, at least we can use custom js to update the value in the Registrant field.

If the Contact has a Lookup to the Account, then I would make your 3rd Step populate from the 2nd Step, then create a Realtime Dataverse Workflow to update the Account field on the registration (e.g. on Create of Registration use the Contact on Registration to Populate the Account on Registration from the Account on the Contact).

You could also populate via JavaScript using the Portals Web API (but this may not be advisable as you are doing Anonymous and it would mean you need to set Global privileges - which can open security holes)

I found a solution for this. We basically needed two Associated Table References on the third step. But, since this is not possible, we created a fourth step based on the same table as the third step (but now in Edit mode). We did this to just get another additional "Associated Table Reference" option. In this step, we then populated the "Registrant" -

We got the Contact Id from the second step of the multi-step form to populate the Associated Table Reference.

Hi @prathyoo ,

If we added the 4th step its will be show 4th step in the form the Event will be twice, Do we have any specific configuration to hide one of the  step?
