Changing text of buttons in Approval flow mail

Hello,

I am using flow for approval purpose.

I need to change the text of the buttons in this approval flow .

is there any way to do that?

I would like to change text "Approve" and "Reject" which we get in the mail when we use approval flow

I found the same limitation last summer, when implementing an approval flow. As a workaround, I used "Office 365 Outlook Send an approval email". 

Also interested to know when "modern approvals" will incorporate this feature; I haven't tested them since then.

Hi,

I tried your suggestion and it worked just fine.

But when i click on the button its not like regular Approval Flow.

when we select Accept or Reject ,It gives you some response back.

How can i do it here??

Here its saying your response is sent to flow, How does this works i did not get that part?

Can you explain it a bit more and how can i use it??

"Office365 Outlook SEnd Approval email" was the original Approval method.

This year Modern Approvals were released with more advanced features (the possibility to send a comment is one of them).

Microsoft Flow Team is pushing hard to enhance Modern Approvals; so I guess "Office365 Outlook Send Approval email" will finally be deprecated (please note I am not talking on behalf of Microsoft Flow Team, it is just a personal opinion).

In the meanwhile, the old Approval method has some features that are not yet available at "modern approvals" (or at least I haven't found them), like the option to modify the button labels, have more than 2 labels... there is also a workaround to include HTML body inside the email approval (the workaround works in the old Approval method but not yet on the Modern one, I guess).

Both Approval Methods (Modern and Old) are based in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/actionable-messages/

However, I do not think you can build actionable messages via Microsoft Flow in a customized way.

Which approval action do you use? The “Start an approval” action or “Send approval email” action?

If you use “Start an approval” action, the text “Approve” and “Reject” are default values of the buttons, there is no way to change the text of the buttons in Microsoft Flow currently.

If you use “Send approval email” action, we could change the text of the buttons within approval email.

I agree with @efialttes's thought, if you want to get more details about Approval methods in Microsoft Flow, please check the link that @efialttes has provided.

 I am using "Start an approval" action as i need some params out of the flow such as approver name and approver email.

So as @efialttes said i tried "Send approval email " ,but using this i could not get the approver name and approver email.

I need these fields to use.

Is there any way that i can get these fields from  "Send approval email " rather than just getting the Response .

You are correct, getting the Approver Email from a Send an Approval Email action is not supported
