Good afternoon,
This is probably extremely basic, but i couldnt seem to find out how to go about it on the other forums concerning power automate.
What i am trying to do merge the two flows so that only one email is sent out once the flow is completed.
Any guidance will be much appreciated!
Thank you.
Hey @Anonymous
I would think about something like this:
You cannot get into the "if yes" section, so you would need to add it below both (instead of clicking on just the plus below one parallel block, click on the "+ New step" on the bottom, that will connect both strings together again. But the email would also been sent if the condition is "No", if you don't want this to happen, you could use a "Terminate" action and set the Status to "Succeeded", this will end the flow.
Does this help you? Otherwise please give me some more information.
Best regards
Marvin

Hello @MarvinBangert
thank you for your reply! So i managed to join the parallel flows to create one automated email.
However!
At the moment i have these separate emails being sent once the flows are completed, both holding different attachments. What i would like, is for these from these two emails to be merged in to one automated email. However, when I merge the paths, there is no options to add the attachments in the same way:
So i do not have the ability to attach the attachments from the parallel flows to the same email. And even as it is, I cannot save the flow due to an error.
I really appreciate you helping me out thus far, thank you.
Have a great weekend if you dont see this before.
Max.
Hey @Anonymous
sorry for the delay and thanks for the information.
Could you please give me some more information what you are missing? On the left I can see some OneDrive "Get content" and on the right some "Get content using path" and "Append to array", so both should be available.
Here is an example that content from both paths should be available:
And also please give me some more information about the error message your receive when trying to save the flow.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards
Marvin

Thanks for getting back!
So I can link each flow to an independent e-mail, in which case two emails are sent carrying different attachments that were processed through the flows.
What I want is to instead of sending two email independently, is to connect the flows at the bottom and be able to send one email with the attachments from the parallel flows.
My problem is that when i do connect these two flows, the attachments that are sent become impossible to open due to them being unsupported - even the pdf which usually works without any problems, becomes unsupported.
Below is a screen shot of the attachments being added to two separate emails.
The flow on the right side does however send "unsupported" versions of the attachments - which is another issue.
The left flow does what it is supposed to.
I did some rearranging and now the flow does save fine. However, when the right flow triggers an email; the attachments are unopenable: see below
And here is the message i receive when i try to open the attachment:
When I merge the flows together, i get this:
But using this system, both of the attachments become unopenable, as seen above.
The PDF should otherwise be openable, like it is when the "send an email" function is used independently on the flows.
CONFUSION!
I hope this helps and im looking for ward to hearing from you.
Thanks again, Marvin!
Hi @Anonymous
thanks for the information, I guess we need to investigate more in into what's happening on the right side of your flow. But yes, you are right, at least the left side of the flow should send an email that actually gives you back the value as it is from your first screenshot (with seperated flow paths). I guess the picture is unopenable, because therese is something not write when trying to create/convert/copy this image.
Depending on what kind of information you have in there, you can also send me an direct message to not share this publically. We would actually need to investigate more in the things you are doing there and what kind of formulas you are using.
Does this help you? Otherwise please give me some more information.
Best regards
Marvin
