Connections problem in flow

Hello,

I wanted to change all the connections in an approval flow that has 2 owners. Clicking on every step in flow and choosing the second owners connection looked like it solved the problem, the flow shows that there are his connections all over.

Here comes the weird part: emails are still sent from my user, even that now I dont have any connection in that flow.

Any idea why/how to solve this?

Hey @Dorul

Are you sure that there is no value in the From parameter of your email actions?

Maybe the approver.email is filled in the From in your email actions.

Thanks for the reply.

I`m sure. My user didnt send emails untill the other owner had connection problems some time ago and i had to authenticate and get all the connections with my user - and noone changed anything except that.

The only thing i can think of is that i set the connections to the second user, being authenticated with my user i clicked on second user connection (being both owners). I hope this make sense for you 🙂

But if thats the case, why our flow let me do that without asking for credentials and why i see at Connections that second user has the connections but emails are sending from my user.

Hey @Dorul

You could make a service account so the mails are always sent by a neutral account.

I find it odd that this behaviour is happening, because indeed when you change the connection of an email the mails are sent with the email address of the connection.

What you could do to check is delete all your connection and see if it is still the same.

If it is still the same I'm at a loss then.

Based on your idea, I tried to check which flows are using my outlook connection.

I tried that too 🙂 sign out, relog.. same thing as in printscreen.

Hey @Dorul

I meant deleting the connections of Office365 outlook or Outlook.

Signing out or signing in will not help to solve the problem.

But it seems that Flow is having difficulties with your account. Because normally this isn't the normal behaviour of the tab connections.

At this point I'm at a loss of how to solve this issue.

Deleting connection completely isnt an option, about 12 flows will fail, lots of runs in progress and will stop the activity of lots of people. Thats why i tried to delete only for that flow.

Btw, I dont have problems in other flows, so my account shouldnt be the problem. I`ll see what else i can do and post here if i find a solution.
