Encodian Fill a PDF - Multi-choice Checkboxes

I need to write values from an array (Checkbox values) to a PDF.

Here is the output of an array for Form question 'Visit Reason':

[
  {
    "Routine"false
  },
  {
    "New Agency"false
  },
  {
    "New Contact"true
  },
  {
    "Compliance"false
  },
  {
    "Unannounced"false
  }
]

When writing to the PDF only New Contact should be checked.

Here is what the field looks like on the PDF:

Here is the Form Data in the Fill a PDF Form connector:

"Routine":"",

"New Agency":"",

"New Contact":"",

"Compliance":"",

"Unannounced":""

How do I get the true and false values into the Fill a PDF Form options?

Thank you!

Hi , @PaulBNWH

Thanks for your response!

If you want to get this:
"Routine":true,"New Agency":true,"New Contact":true,"Compliance":false,"Unannounced":false,

You can update the last expression to this:

concat( replace(replace( join(body('Select'),',') , '{' , '' )  , '}','') , ',')

Hi , @PaulBNWH

According to your description, you want to convert your array to object like this:

vyueyunmsft_0-1717392347959.png

You can use this expression:

json(concat('{', replace(replace(replace( replace( string( outputs('Compose')  ) , '[' , ''), ']' , ''),'{',''),'}','') , '}'))

This issue I'm having is how to populate those in the Form Data section of the Fill a PDF Form. Here is the Form Data details.

PaulBNWH_0-1717392810963.png

I'm hoping to be able to select something containing each value from Dynamic Content like the fields above.

Hi , @PaulBNWH

Thanks for your response! Do you mean you want to populate the value in your variable?

vyueyunmsft_0-1717393068489.png

So can you show where your get this value in your flow?

[
  {
    "Routine"false
  },
  {
    "New Agency"false
  },
  {
    "New Contact"true
  },
  {
    "Compliance"false
  },
  {
    "Unannounced"false
  }
]

If you want to get the value from this array , you can use , you need to replace the  outputs('Compose') in your side:
 outputs('Compose')?[0]?['Routine']
 outputs('Compose')?[0]?['New Agency']
 outputs('Compose')?[0]?['New Contact']
 outputs('Compose')?[0]?['Compliance']
 outputs('Compose')?[0]?['Unannounced']

Yes, I want to populate the values in the Data variable. I'm getting the values from Reason for Visit field on a MS Form (multi-select checkbox):

Hi , @PaulBNWH

Thanks for your response! This is my test Form and output in my side:

vyueyunmsft_0-1717395150567.png

And this is the result in my test flow:

vyueyunmsft_1-1717395173485.png

(1)Compose action:

vyueyunmsft_2-1717395191163.png

(2)Select action and Compose action:

vyueyunmsft_3-1717395279648.png

range(0,length(outputs('Compose')))
outputs('Compose')?[item()]
contains(json(outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r831ae49c8a5243068d58d84816eec523']) , outputs('Compose')?[item()])
json(concat('{', replace(replace(replace( replace( string( body('Select') ) , '[' , ''), ']' , ''),'{',''),'}','') , '}'))

You need to replace the red font in your side. You can check it in your "Get Form response" output in your flow run history.

Thank you. Seems to work as intended. I am getting an error when I put the output of Compose 2 in the variable to add to PDF Fill a Form Form Data.

When I did a test, the results of Compose 2 are rendering like this:
{"Routine":false,"New Agency":false,"New Contact":false,"Compliance":true,"Unannounced":false}

I need the results to look like this:

"Routine":false,"New Agency":false,"New Contact":false,"Compliance":true,"Unannounced":false,

Please note the added comma at the end. I feel like this is so close!!!!

I've been trying to edit the concat, but haven't yet had success. Thanks again for your help.

json(concat('{', replace(replace(replace( replace( string( body('Select') ) , '[' , ''), ']' , ''),'{',''),'}','') , '}'))

Everything is looking good, except for an extra comma after each value. The one on the end looks good.

"Routine":false,,"New Agency":false,,"New Contact":false,,"Compliance":true,,"Unannounced":false,

Thank you for helping me through this.
