Error at Get Manager

Hello All,

I have a flow where I utilize the Get Manager to initiate an approval flow. For this one user, the flow seems to get stuck with this error whenever it reaches the Get Manager.

Is there a way to resolve this? Error as captured below.

I did a test on my side, filling the valid email address in the Get manager(V2)-User(UPN) or the value of the email address, it work fine.

When the content I fill in is not a valid email address, or is not a user in the organization, the error you mentioned will appear.

Generally, the email is filled in here. First, you need to ensure that the content you filled in is a valid email address, and then make sure that the email is an account within the organization and that there is an assigned manager.

Then check if the account configured for your connection is the account of the organization you expect to search. When Flow is running, reconfirm that the link is the one expected.

Hi, is there an easy way to make it skip a record if the person no longer is in the orginization?

my flow returns a list of several users, then stops when it reaches the missing person - Request_ResourceNotFound

Hi there,

I've received the error today, first time exporting users with flow and have been succesfull with exporting users. I got to the point where I wanted managers but then received the following error.

All users (77) worked fine except for 1 user. 
I'm not sure what to look for, its the director so of course there wouldn't be any manager information but it fails the whole flow run even though it seemed to have worked for everyone.

Would any1 know a workaround or if error ignor?

In the interim I've learnt to set "configure after run" to successful & failure. This at least allows the flow to show successful.

The Input 'User UPN' is a member of the organization who no longer works with us. What confuses me is she was never a manager, so I do not know why her email is listed as the input. The email is also connected to a SharePoint site, where I cannot see her listed as a manager either. 

Has anyone had any resolutions to this issue?

Yes, go to AAD (Azure Active Directory) and with the administrator in the "User configuration" assign Manager in the user account.

Important, select the same power automate user account.

Issue: Error at Get manager.

Note: I am using school account to create the flow. I tried giving user principal name through dynamically and also entering manually. Both approaches did not work.
