Hello,
In order to accomplish a couple of things I cannot do directly in Power Automate, I started executing regular expressions using the "Run Excel Script" activity. It had been working fine, but on Monday it started to fail. This execution of the Excel script is inside of an "Apply to each" activity.
What I've done so far to try to fix it:
1. Removed default concurrency to the trigger, so I make sure this process is not executing multiple times in parallel.
2. Removed default concurrency of the "Apply to each" activity, to make sure the process is not trying to execute the script multiple times at the same time.
3. On the Run Excel Script, I've played with the Retry Policy, with no luck.
The issue persists.
The weirdest thing is that this issue might or might not happen on the same execution and within the apply to each.
The Error:
In the apply to each activity:
Execution number 5 failed, number 6 succeeded and number 8 failed again.. and so on.
Failed:
Succeeded:
Failed:
This is the configuration of the RunScriptPageNumber:
Hope anyone here can help!
UPDATE: Now that I am editing the flow, the issue started appearing on the top like this:
It seems like the file was not available or I didn't have permissions on the file.
The excel file is saved and closed, no one else is using it.
This is working now for me. I was able to move the file into a TEAMS channel and update flow. I made sure to share scripts so anyone using document can use scripts and all seems to work now. Thank you for the hard work to get this fixed.
@Anonymous Thanks for tagging but the issue seems to be somewhat different based on your screenshot. It was from the "Get table" action (not the "Run script" action this post was originally about and what my team and I can best help with). The error message was also different.
But let's try some troubleshooting -
While your flow is in edit mode, please click on the "..." of the "Get table" action and see if there are any errors under the "My connections" section on the pop up menu. Sometimes connection that is expired or in bad state may cause auth issues and you'll need to recreate the connection (re-sign in).
Or even if your connection still shows ok, it probably doesn't hurt to re-create a new one and see if that helps.
If it still doesn't help, we'll probably have to find the right team who owns the "Get table" action. Please let me know in that case and I'll try to poke around.
It works now. Thank you for your attention!
Hello,
We are seeing the issue with Run Script for Regex as of today. The action was working fine last couple of days and suddenly started failing today with the error shown below. We tried setting new connections but that did not work. We have a copy of the flow pointing to different file in a DEV environment and that seems to still work as expected.
@Yutao , thanks for sharing the updates with everyone here. Do we know if this issue re-appeared or how we can work around it?
Thank you in advance.
@YPBH thanks for reaching out! We did notice a small uptick in the past 12~24 hours. We identified and reverted a change in our service that might be the cause. Can you please give it a try and see if it is working now?
Thanks for your patience!
Hello MS-Team,
I have the same issue since two week.
The Excel-Script works fine some weeks, and then I get the "unauthorization"-Error.
All Users are granted with their access. One user could execute the script some days and since last week I get the "unauthorization"-Issue with him. With another user it still works....
Could you face the issue?
Kind regard!
is this an issue again? I'm getting similar error. Could someone help?
The dynamic operation request to API 'excelonlinebusiness' operation 'GetSingleScript' failed with status code 'BadGateway'. Error response: {\r\n \"error\": {\r\n \"code\": 502,\r\n \"source\": \"brazil-001.azure-apim.net\",\r\n \"clientRequestId\": \"209a959f-681e-4ffa-ae8a-a66e8a29ea39
Is anyone else also experiencing this error right now?
It happened to me exactly like the previous reports. It was all right a few days ago and suddenly stopped with this error:
Hello MS-Team,
I have been having the same issue since this morning.
The Excel-Script has been working fine but since this morning, been getting the unauthorized error.
Facing the issue here as well, Europe region.
I fixed the error by editing the Office Script using the code editor inside excel, on the automation tab.
I was trying to use an office script by typing the code on a separated file, uploading it to oneDrive and calling the script on automate.
The issue stopped when I created and edited a script file logged in Excel as the same user of One Drive and power automate.
Thanks for this - however it wont even let me make any changes to the flow - saying bad gateway etc etc - so assume its a wider issue than the office!
Looks like its not a localised problem.
I started getting problems editing flows where PowerAutomate was saying my script parameters were invalid. These were scripts that didn't expect parameters. Scripts then started failing with either 401 or 502 errors. I'm now unable to select a script to run - when clicking the dropdown to select a script I get the message:
Failed to retrieve dynamic inputs. Error details: 'The dynamic operation request to API 'excelonlinebusiness' operation 'GetSingleScript' failed with status code 'BadGateway'. Error response: { "error": { "code": 502, "source": "uk-001.azure-apim.net", "clientRequestId": "...", "message": "BadGateway", "innerError": { "status": 502, "message": "The server experienced an issue and couldn't complete the request. Please try again in a few moments.\r\nclientRequestId: ...", "error": { "message": "The server experienced an issue and couldn't complete the request. Please try again in a few moments." }, "source": "excelonline-ukw.azconn-ukw-001.p.azurewebsites.net" } } }'
I guess we are just expected to wait but no idea for how long
