Flow sometimes doesn't updates a sharepoint list [Need Advice]

Hello all, I took days to build a complex flow that is updating a SharePoint item once the approver approves or rejects something. Most of the time, the flow works completely fine with no issues. But sometimes, when the approver approves/rejects something, the flow doesn't update the SharePoint list and continues as if the list has been updated. Why is this happening? The user becomes frustrated when the item has been approved but the status returns pending. Please advice. Best Regards

Hi @trance_addict14

Can you share a screenshot of the flow?

You might want to check the flow run history on the action that was executed after the approval action was performed.

Hope this helps!

I'm unable to post the screenshot. It just keeps on loading forever.

Anyways,

I've checked the flow history, it says the it has updated the item but there is not updated item when i check the sharepoint list. Plus the action after that also executes successfully.

P.S. It does updates item most of the time but sometimes it bypasses it which is kind of frustrating.

Hi @trance_addict14

So if the update item was successful, then it should definitely have updated the item in SP unless there were any null values passed. You can upload the screenshot by hitting the camera icon while writing the post or by adding as an attachment to the post.

Hope this Helps!

Flow is runningFlow is running

As you can in the above picture, the flow is running successfully But, the Apply to each 4 (that was supposed to update the item on the sharepoint list) is greyed out and it shows nothing. When i check the sharepoint list, it didn't updated the item.

Now look at the next image below

runnin correct.png

This is another running instance of the flow. Here the flow is successfully updating the sharepoint list item without any trouble. And I can also see it's status.

Is the apply to each thing is buggy? Or the sharepoint is buggy?

Best Regards

Hey, I'm having somewhat a similar issue too!

It doesn't work even from an Excel workbook to SP List, both built from scratch..

As 1st figure shown by you, mine's greyed out too! Any resolution so far?
