Hi,
I am attempting to create a scheduled flow which regularly replies to an email sending the same file. The best would be it responds to to the newest email in the chain, but at this point I will accept even repeatedly responding to the original email. The "Get email" action is failing and I cannot find out why.
Could anyone help?
Hi @Anonymous,
you are using incorrect Message ID in "Get email (v2)" action.
Try to use "Get emails (V3)" action with search query.

@VictorIvanidze Thanks so much for your help. I will try that. Then, for the Reply to Email V3 what do I put for "Message ID"?
One of MessageIDs that returned by Get Emails (v3)

Hi @VictorIvanidze Thanks again for your help. I am still not quite clear on how Get Email V3 generates Message ID, and not sure how to enter the message ID to get the email I want from Get Emails V3.
I'm very new to Power Automate so apologies for my lack of understanding.
Could you perhaps explain in a little more detail how to use? Or is there some guide I could refer to?
I have already searched a bit myself but not much luck 😞
You have to experiment yourself.

My flow is fixed now.
I used "Dynamic Content" namely "Message ID" from the Get emails V3. I set Get Emails to only find 1 result and respond to it.
I am still not sure how to interact with said "Dynamic Content" of "Message ID" so if anyone has any further information in this regard I would appreciate it. In the future if I have to distinguish between various results or apply different rules I would love to know how.
However, if I have specific questions I will repost.
Thanks to Victor for the tip leading me here.

Have you used Get emails (V3) to retrieve a specific email based on a message id or internet message id before, as in actually done it? I am testing it out immediately after a When a new email arrives (V3) trigger (so I know the message exists) and have tried many different variations, but I am starting to think it isn't actually possible, despite numerous internet rumours to the contrary.
Show what did you do.

I have tried to do a number of things, particularly enter a string into the "Search Query" argument referencing a Message ID that I know exists in an attempt to retrieve that email, but have been unable to accomplish it.
I am curious:
a) If such a Search Query string can even be written
b) If it can, what it might be
If how to do this (or, whether it can even be done) is a secret is fine, but it would at least be helpful to know that it is.
I don't understand what secrets you mean. Could you just show your flow?

It is the syntax of the "Search Query" box that is required to fetch a single email for a specific Message ID that I am trying to figure out.
Here is the topmost result of the Google request "get emails (v3)" "search query":

That article does indeed contain "get emails (v3)" and "search query" - however, does it contain an answer to the question that I am asking?
Try to read the article - there is an example.

Is there an example that is the same as the question I am asking?
The question I am asking is regarding the syntax of the "Search Query" box that is required to fetch a single email for a specific Message ID that I am trying to figure out.
When you read the article, do you see specific text that addresses that specific question? If so, it would be very helpful if you could copy that text from the article and paste it into this thread, because in my browser that article does not display anything that answers my question.
