How to handle array variables for SharePoint

I am trying to build a flow that will archive a SharePoint List. The flow gets the items from the desired list, and then has a "Apply to Each" loop that creates items in the desired archive list where each variable is the same as those in the original.

Where I run into trouble is with one variable from the list, which is am array. The original SharePoint list is populated by a form in Power Apps. One of the questions is "choice" with the option to select multiple responses, hence creating the variable for the SharePoint list item that is an array. The box to specify the value looks different, and I can toggle it back and forth between "Detail Inputs for Array Item" and "Input Entire Array" (pictures below). 

I have experimented with both without success. The flow encounters errors either way. 

Update: 

One error message that I keep getting says that the column that I want to write to is "Read Only." I have looked for a way to fix the column to allow editing, but so far I am coming up empty.

Hi @silverwolftan 

The only way I see this being read-only is permissions to the user that is running the Flow. I'm sure you have the same permissions in both SharePoint Lists, but can you please check just to remove this possibility? 

Another potential issue is that the field is, somehow, with an automatic value defined or calculated so that it doesn't allow you to insert values into it. Again, it doesn't make sense if both lists are the same, but worth a shot double-checking.

Can you please check and let's see if we can get more information to solve this issue?

One thing I'm attempting as a work around is to break the array up into its component strings and then input them into the new list one at a time, and I'm trying to apply what is in this article to figure out how to take an array from Sharepoint and, in Power Automate set separate variables to be the values of items extracted from the array. 

Another thing I don't understand that I have just discovered: 

I tried to create new columns in the original SharePoint List that would be calculated based on the array column, but SharePoint will not allow me to use the array column as the source of calculated columns.

Solved: I had to create new variables from the items in the array that the flow pulled in, and then put the new ones in one by one.
