Hi @NikTan,
Do you want to send an email with the item link in the email body when a file is created in SharePoint library?
Have you tried the trigger When a file is created (Properties only)?
I have made the following test with the trigger When a file is created (Properties only), select the dynamic content Link to item in the email body, when I receive the email, the email could be opened by clicking the link.
Best regards,
Mabel Mao
When you test the flow, it should return a 'Body' response after a successful transfer. Look into that response and see if there is a 'Path' returned. If so, you can capture this value and dynamically add it into an email body.
If that doesn't work, you can hard code in the base url - "https:://test.sharepoint.com/sites/TestSite/Shared%20Documents/" - then you can dynamically add the folder or file name to the end of the url.
Hi,
Using Folder path i am getting the path but when user click on that link file get downloded instate of open in O365. Is there any way i can allowed file to open in O365.
Like i have option in When Item is Created trigger has been called,In this trigger if i drag Link to Item file automatically open in O365. i am looking for similar kind of solution here.
Thanks

I have a similar requirement. I have a flow that does open the word document successfully in O365 Word online, however, I would like to have the link open the document in Word (Client). The Document library is set to open in the client by default and when you click on the name in the document library it opens in the client. I would like the link in the email to do the same. I contacted MS about this several months ago and they said they were working on a solution but have not heard anything recently was wondering if anyone here might know a solution.
Thanks
Jennifer
I worked with someone to create a flow between Salesforce and Sharepoint, then updated the paths to go from the test environment to the actual usage environment. After creating folders in Sharepoint based on a Salesforce trigger, I added a field to carry the link to the root folder, then used the "Link to Item" to pull the path. For some reason, the URL that is being pulled is still the original despite the fact that all of the paths have been updated throughout the flow. Is there some way to control where the Link to Item pulls information from?
When I "Link to Item" for some reason the link automatically takes user to "classic" SharePoint view of the item with no option to switch to modern view. How can I format the "Link to Item" to always take user to Modern View of the item on my SharePoint list?
I am experiencing this same issue. When a "link to item" Dynamic content is sent to users of a list I've created so they can view the details it displays in classic SharePoint and not the new UI. Did you manage to get a solution for your enquiry as of yet?
Yes, I did find the issue causing this. If you have any columns in your SharePoint list that are in Classic format, it will do this. You need to check all your list columns and make sure that they are in Modern format. I found that when I use a templated list or I add columns from the list rather than use the List Settings option to create columns this happens.
I am running into a weird issue, I have used 'Get files (properties)' to pull the values from a document library. I am trying to send an item link in the email. However, when I add the content dynamically, I get the following in the email instead of the link:
Link to item: ']}
Adding more: using the link to item is a character value you need to used place it into a html code to get the clickable link to the object.
Use a compose to include a <a href> html tag.
You need to do something like this.
Compose
Email action
Email received
Thank you so much AMiranda.
For some reason, the second compose block is not showing up for me dynamically. First 'Compose' has outputs from a substring. I am curious to know why the second Compose block is not appearing.
You need to check your actions 'cause it must work.
I place a new compose inside a loop and I can include both of them into my mail action, the first and second compose.
