MS Forms Excel Attachment to Sharepoint List

Thank you for your patience as I am new:

I have a MS Form that requests basic information [name, account number] and at the end requires customer to attach excel document with further information.

I am trying to have Power Automate take that Excel document, and the information inside, and put that data on a SharePoint List. The File source needs to be dynamic as each attachment will be different. Columns could/should be similar but file names will change.

End Goal is to email each SharePoint list item individually to the same email. I would send a picture of the flow, but I'm not sure it would be helpful as it is not working at all 😄
Trigger: When new response is submitted
Get Response details
and then nothing I have tried after that seems to do what I'm looking for.

after get response details parse the json and use a loop on the output of get response details(value)..then use get file content with id/path from the response..then use the content in create file activity

Hi @irikts ! There's no need to write to a new Excel sheet for this. Each Microsoft form has a Excel sheet connected to it. You can find this in the Microsoft forms environment. Afterwards just create a flow that connects to this specific Excel sheet. The flow should have as trigger 'when a new row is added (in Excel sheet)'. The action after the trigger should be 'create item in Sharepoint'. No need to overcomplicate, it can be this simple!

Make sure to create the Sharepoint list beforehand with the right columns 😁!

Hey @Tjan, Thank you for responding 🙂

The Excel sheet generated from the MS forms does capture the data from the form, but the problem is that my form has a spot for customers to attach their own excel file -> and that's that one I need. I've figured out how to capture the answers from the form, but the customers' attachment is giving me the trouble.

Through my trials I was able to create a new item on the sharepoint list with the data from the MS forms, but it added the attachment as an attachment, and I need that data thats in the attachment itself.
I hope thats not too confusing

Hey @Anil_g Thank you so much for your response!

I am still fairly new, so thank you for baring with me.

I've added the "Parse JSON" action after get response details.

Then I've added a loop? "Apply to each" Action from the output of get response details, I'm not sure what you mean by value, so I have selected the value from the MS form that holds the attachment.

On the File path I am conflicted on where to pull it from because the file path name is dynamic. Attached is my snippets.

Use get file content

pass the id..you will get file content...pass the file content to create file
