Power Automate flow isn't triggered "When an item is created"

I am pretty new to Power Automate and I have a flow I created that is triggered "When an item is created". My Power App form writes a SharePoint List row, which should trigger the flow. However, I have created 2 rows in my SharePoint List and the flow hasn't started. It's been days and it still hasn't been triggered. Is there a way to determine why?

@jinivthakkar

I decided to finally create a 2nd flow that triggered "When an item is created", but this one only sends an email. The minute I added a new row in my SharePoint List, both flows were triggered. I have no idea why, but that was what happened. Not sure if there is some sort of bug or something else, but that tells me there was likely nothing wrong with the original flow.

@Greg27 you can have a error logging mechanism like try catch in your flow, please see this

may be some condition is not met, are you your flow does not the flow have any trigger condition, please see this

@jinivthakkar

I am not seeing any errors and it tells me that my workflow is ready to go. My Workflow is triggered by a new item in my SharePoint list. The first step that it does is to email the person who created the list row. So, since I created the list row, it should email me, but it doesn't.

@Greg27 the other reason for the flow not triggering can be that the user does not have license for flow.

@jinivthakkar

I have created one Power App writing to a SharePoint List and a new item in that List triggers my Power Automate Flow. My new Power App does the same thing, but that Power App Flow is not working. I am running both and my first Flow works and my 2nd one doesn't. I have a license, but also everyone here has a license.

I'm having the same issue. I don't really know why the trigger doesn't seem to function properly either. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't.

After digging into a 'get items' after the trigger, it appears that the created item has a modified time that does not match the created time although there has been no modification after it was created. I've changed the trigger to 'When an item is created or modified' and set a condition of modified time < 5 min from the created time. Which seems to be working. Not a solution, but a work around. This has to be a bug that MS is ignoring.

I've just had this issue popup today as well using "When an item is created". I created 5 entries within the span of 2 mins and only 3 were triggered

Update: The last 2 were triggered 30mins later

I removed the >5min criteria and the flow trigger does seem to be working. I still think the issue is related to the creation time issue not matching the modified time as those are the ones that don't populate/trigger the flow. The "created time" is several days different in some cases.

Seems buggy.

I have the same issue please if you solve the issue share with me the solution

@Dubya-eye-el-el What is the >5 min criteria? Where is that set?

please let me know how i can remove the 5 min as the code is read only

@Greg27 , I actually ended up changing the trigger to use the 'created or modified' item trigger instead. But the < 5 min was a condition I used to ensure the item was new and not an old item being modified. I really think the 'when new item is created' trigger is buggy and doesn't work properly.

@NadaFathy193 ,

No my flow doesn't use that trigger at all.
