Hi Community,
I don't know if anyone is having the same issue.
After I installed runtime update - version 2.44.46.24141, I am having some issues when flows is scheduled or start with PA Cloud.
The error is as follows:
Problem executing the “LaunchChrome” action. Failed to take control of Chrome (failed to communicate with the Power Automate web extension)
I have attached full error.
I am populating field email and login is when the error occurs.
Also, if I run the flow in the desktop everything works perfectly.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Ralle422 , @ScottNeff
Things are working perfectly with the update to Windows 11 Pro 23H2. OS 22631.3672
So, it was a question of update.
Thank you all
Hi @hello11

Hi @Nived_Nambiar ,
I have already re-installed everything: PADesktop, runtime and chrome extension.
Nothing is working 😭!
Hi - having the same issue after installing 2.44.46.24141.
Issues persist even after reinstalling PAD, updating and reinstalling the extension. Rolling back to 2.43.217.24141 doesn't work either. I have issued with both Chrome and Edge browsers. Also LaunchError, failed to assume control.
Please help... 😄
Having the same issue after installing 2.44.46.24141
Issues persists on Chrome and Edge - already tried reinstalling PAD and Extensions.
Rerolling to 2.43 doesn't work either
Please help 😄
I am also experiencing issues with this latest version. None of the web elements are recognized in Chrome. Have reinstalled everything and problem still persists. Had the same issue two versions ago and was pleased issue was fixed in last update. But today... no good.

Hi @ScottNeff and @Ralle422 ,
What is your Windows version?
I am upgrading to Windows 11 to check.
Thanks
We're still on Windows 10Pro - 22H2 - 19045.4412
Hi
Currently running WIN11 Enterprise, Version 23H2
OS Build 22631.3593
Funny thing happened today - i have 2 completely identical machines, running the same version of windows, the same version of PAD etc. (one is a clone of the other).
WebAutomation was succesful on one of them, and failed on the other.
If i find out why i will make sure to share in here

@hello11 @ScottNeff
Can confirm this works for me too
I updated all machines with Win 11 KB5037853 (22631.3672), and then reinstalled all PAD installations with the installation file available from make.powerautomate.com (not the Windows Store version).
After this all machines are functioning with Web Automation again.
Thanks all 🙂
Hi again - i confirmed this too soon.
I am still experiencing errors with Web Automation in Microsoft Edge. Even after installing 2.45.
Any chance you guys have other ideas on how to fix this?
The error code is : "Problem while executing action 'LaunchEdgeCloseDialog'. Failed to communicate with web browser because it uses different version of web extension message host than Power Automate."
But no other version of the Web Extension is available. I have already tried removing and installing the extension again.
Hi @Ralle422 ,
Last week also had some issues with that version. I have re-installer Power Automate from scratch. Don't go to Microsoft Store, I have made the download through Power Automate Cloud.
Also assure that you have all machines with the same Power Automate version.
Hope to help.
I tried reinstalling PAD on all machines with the install file from Power Automate Cloud.
I also reinstalled the Extension for Microsoft Edge.
I now get this error message:
Problem while executing action 'LaunchEdgeCloseDialog'. Failed to assume control of Microsoft Edge (communication with Power Automate web extension failed)
Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.Modules.SDK.Extended.Exceptions.InternalActionException: Failed to assume control of Microsoft Edge (communication with Power Automate web extension failed) ---> Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Desktop.UIAutomation.WebAutomation.Core.WebExtensionsBrowser.WebExtensionHostNotAvailableException: Could not connect to the web extension's native message host within the remaining timeout period (34 seconds).
All machines are updated to the same version of Power Automate.
Any ideas?
Have you desintalled Runtime Power Automate and the Power Automate Extension?
Do everything from scratch.
Start over again desintalled all PAD, Runtime and Extension.
Yes i did all this
Removed Power Automate, Power Automate Extension and Power Automate Runtime
Restarted PC
Reinstalled PAD, Runtime and Extension from scratch
Restarted PC
Issue still persists 😕
