Hello,
I am attempting to use a Sharepoint list as the source for content in a flow that will be configured to send scheduled reminder emails to staff.
The list is set up with columns:
I am running into a few issues but need help with Sharepoint links getting mangled in the rich text when powerautomate gets ahold of them.
I want to have the message body contain screenshots and links to additional materials for users to click on. The additional materials are usually files in a Sharepoint library. When I have a sharepoint link in the "Body" column it gets delivered like this:
and of course, is not useable.
I tested with a link to an external site (google) and it works as expected.
I found this thread reporting a similar issue
Hyperlinks inside share point rich text fields bre... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)
but the solution is not satisfactory for my objective.
I would like to have non-technical people able to add content to the Sharepoint list to request approval for recurring messaging and once approved the messages will just be sent by the flow. If the list becomes too complicated, users may not bother with it or will make mistakes if there are too many fields to input.
Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Aside from the link issue, how are you going to manage the scheduling of all the different reminders? Are you going to be setting up a new flow for each of the items in the list, or have a single flow run daily and look at the schedule for each item? If you want them going out at different times of the day, then not sure if a single flow will suffice.
For the link issue, the article you referenced definitely has a fix for it. And only has to be setup in the flow, so users adding their links in the Rich text field can just add links as normal.
See an example below where I just get the single list item, replace relative links to absolute links, then output via email. My list item is below which includes two links. The Microsoft one will work fine as it's an absolute URL, but the other one links back to my SharePoint site so will be relative.
And the flow is below.
Get item just gets the single list item for this example.
Compose takes in the text/links/etc. from the Content field of my item and replaces '/sites/' with my tenant full URL. You would just need to put your own tenant URL here.
replace(outputs('Get_item')?['body/Content'],'/sites','https://happywolf.sharepoint.com/sites')
And finally, Send an email uses the Output from the Compose.
I am close, I thought it might have something to do with the compose function but am pretty rusty on the syntax.
I am getting this error now:
InvalidTemplate. Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Compose' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'replace' expects its first parameter 'string' to be a string. The provided value is of type 'Null'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#replace for usage details.'.
My flow has an apply to each loop and an if statement to handle approvals:
Wondering if I need to change the replace statement from Get_items to something from the loop?
As for the scheduling, the plan is to run daily and have a column for "Day of week" and "Week of Month" in the list and another condition in the flow to check for a match and only send when the day and week condition are met. At least that is what I think will work but I wanted to get this step working clean before I build the schedule logic.

Looks like I may have it working in the apply to each loop using
replace(items('Apply_to_each')?['MessageBody'],'/sites','https://mydomain.sharepoint.com/sites')
will accept your post as solution after a bit more testing
Thanks again for the help!
