Hi all,
I want to create a flow that when the column value of 'customer status' change it will change the position the same item in the hub navigation.
for example if I change the 'customer status' of "PFG" to "On Boarding" in the navigation it will change his position under the "On Boarding" Label.
want to know if it is possible because I didn't find something that show how to do that.
Thanks for your help!

Hi @lidor_dayan,
You can use a DELETE request together with the getbynodeid method.
Below is an example
I used a couple of additional GET requests to spot the right node within BAU.
_api/Web/Navigation/GetNodeById(@{outputs('Send_an_HTTP_request_to_SharePoint_-_Get_PFG_Node_Id')?['body']['d']['results'][0]['id']})
Hi @lidor_dayan,
Yes, you are pretty close 🙂 Those actions would also be the first three actions I would use.
Let's focus on mapping the fields for the adding the link scenario first.
The removing a link mapping is a bit more complicated because it involves retrieving version history, so that's why I would suggest to fix that after these steps.
Below could be the mapping of fields of your list within the HTTP request (for the adding nav links scenario)
Uri for retrieving Cluster node id
_api/Web/Navigation/QuickLaunch?$filter=Title eq '@{triggerOutputs()?['body/Cluster/Value']}'&$select=id
Uri for retrieving Customer status label node id
_api/Web/Navigation/GetNodeById(@{outputs('Send_an_HTTP_request_to_SharePoint_-_Get_Cluster_Value_Node_Id')?['body']['d']['results'][0]['id']})/Children?$filter=Title eq '@{triggerOutputs()?['body/CustomerStatus']}'&$select=id
@lidor_dayan Use send http request action to change navigation. See this thread-
Please 'Thumbs Up' the posts that helped you and 'Accept as Solution' if my post answered your question.
Hi @lidor_dayan,
You would want to create a sublink, correct?
@Hardesh15 already steered you into the right direction. The only thing I want to add would be that in this you also need to retrieve the node id of the Onboarding header and use the Children method as well. This way it will become a sublink.
Below is an example to create a navigation node as a sublink under an existing Label node.
This example only creates the link in the correct place.
You also need to remove the link under BAU with a separate HTTP request. If you need help with that part as well, let us know?
_api/web/Navigation/GetNodeById(@{outputs('Send_an_HTTP_request_to_SharePoint_-_Get_Onboarding_Node_Id')?['body']['d']['results'][0]['id']})/Children
{
"Accept": "application/json; odata=verbose",
"Content-Type": "application/json; odata=verbose"
}
{
"__metadata": { type: "SP.NavigationNode" },
"IsExternal": true,
"Title": "Power Automate Test",
"Url": "https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Power-Automate/ct-p/MPACommunity"
}
Hi @Expiscornovus, could you Help me with the remove link under BAU with a separate HTTP request?

Hi @Expiscornovus I need to do that for every item on the list? I have 53 Items..
Hi @lidor_dayan,
No, that is not what I am suggesting. Currently I am only showing you how to add and remove a link in the navigation via a flow.
If you need help with the when a item has changed in a list and use that information for adding/removing links part I am happy to help out with that as well?
You could use a when an item is modified trigger action for that. Do you need an example for that part as well?
Hi @Expiscornovus , this is what I did:
and after that I need to put the "send an HTTP request to SharePoint"?
Thank you for your help!
I'm new in this so I'm learning and trying to understand.

Hi @Expiscornovus it is giving me this error.
Hi @lidor_dayan,
Just a couple of questions to double check.
1. Did it actually find the node in the previous GET actions (can you double check in the outputs if it found ids)?
2. Did you update to expressions to your action names. In the expression I refer to my actions names, which might be different in your setup. Be sure to update it to your setup.
1. for "Get Cluster Value Node ID" and "Get On Boarding Node ID" it did got an "ID"
but the last one failed
2. I did compare the output before test it and I checked again and everything looks ok.
Hi @Expiscornovus,
Regards the DELETE request I have a few clusters that every cluster have BAU and On Boarding:
so how can I do that it will delete "customer 1" from his previous Cluster?
Thank you for your help I found finally the issue with the error.
Hi @lidor_dayan,
You can retrieve the previous cluster value from the version history of the list item and use that to lookup the correct node for deletion.
Hi @Expiscornovus, I finished the flow and everything is working great from the flow side,
but from SharePoint in the hub navigation after the flow do the changes the navigation doesn't refresh by itself I need to click on the edit of the navigation and exit for it to update the changes.
you know a way to update the changes without me interfering?
Hi @lidor_dayan,
That is just caching on the SharePoint side of things. Either wait a couple of minutes or try ctrl + f5.
@Expiscornovus, ok I will check with SharePoint community, thank you so much for the help!
