Syntax Issues with "Get Calendar View of Events (v3)" Filter Query

I am trying to filter the reply to this action to current calendar entries (those that have started but not ended). I am encountering syntax issues with the filter query where the returned result for the "Start Time" is null. I am not convinced in any way that I am doing this correctly but generally the syntax I am attempting is like this:

lessOrEquals(item()?['startDateTimeUtc'],utcNow())

InvalidTemplate. Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Get_calendar_view_of_events_(V3)' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'lessOrEquals' expects two parameter of matching types. The function was invoked with values of type 'Null' and 'String' that do not match.'.

I imagine this is something fairly straightforward.

Hi @SRW-MSH ,

You can try adding an if condition to check for null as below,

lessOrEquals(if(equals(item()?['startDateTimeUtc'],null),'',item()?['startDateTimeUtc']),utcNow())

This way, if the startDateTimeUtc is null, then the if condition will replace it with an empty string - which means no errors for any comparisons.

my issue at this point is that the filter above gives me an invalid filter syntax or a bad result depending on how I enter it. I cannot seem to get any ODATA filter to work with events that checks for any kind of date value. Any examples of valid ODATA event filters would be helpful.

There are a few things that I'd like to get clarified, 

1. Get Calendar view of events action returns object of calendar event - are you looking for any specific information from the calendar object?
2. I'm assuming you want to get all events that have not yet started. Then, why don't you pass the EndDate as utcNow() and StartDate as addDays(utcNow(), -365) to get all past 1 years events?

If my assumtion is wrong, please provide additional details on what exactly you want to do with the "Get Calendar view of events" action, the inputs, filters and outputs you're expecting.

the StartDate and EndDate return more events than what I am looking for. I am basically trying to find out what appointments/meetings/events are going on at the moment an email comes in so that certain appointments/meetings/invites can trigger different actions by the flow. Right now I have to parse through more appointments/meetings/events than I would like to and I would rather query for those that have a start time before now and an end time after now.
