Trigger a flow when particular field Updates in SP List

 I want to trigger flow only when Comments field updated in My SP List.
I have tried versioning but issue is initially my Comments field is null hence unable to parse that.

and in select control when i try to assign values From field not accepting Bode from HTTP response

The flow can be triggered based on the trigger actions available for SharePoint. For the list, you can use the trigger actions like when an item is created or modified or deleted, once the flow is triggered, you can check the Comments field and based on the value whether it is null or valid data, you can start doing your functionality.

I want to compare last 2 versions of comments fields,

Checking comments blank or not will help in initial triggering but if there are multiple modifications events then how to manage this.

I want to send an email every time when comments are added/updated.

Hi @Anonymous 

Whenever the item is added or updated, the trigger actions will provide you with all the values that are updated, you can use the results from the trigger actions and then based on that you can send an email. If you want to check the versions of the comments then you have to use SharePoint REST API to fetch the versions of the items and then compare the field with the versions.

Is your comments field a simple text column or is it a multiline text column with append text set to true?

You might try using the append text feature.  Anytime the column is not null it has been updated,  All content is saved with a specific version.

Its Multi line and append to field
Lets take scenario :

1. Item Created  - Comments null

2. Item Modified - Comments Added

3. Item Modified - Title Changes, Comments Unchanged

4. Item Modified - Comments Updated

Want to trigger flow in 2nd and 4th case only.

In my example, I have an append text multi-line column called MultiText.  I am using a SharePoint when an item changes or is modified trigger.

Adding the following as a trigger filter will allow for the Flow to run only when the MultiText column changes:

@not(equals(triggerBody()?['MultiText'],null))

This will solve 2nd scenario but what about 4th Scenario

I want to compare last 2 version comments but how to get that using HTTP and Parse JSON,

HTTP will give versions but how to get Comments field for compare, If i use parse JSON it gives Null value issue
and if  i added string and Null in Schema then Unable to get Comments field in dynamic content
