Hi All
Im trying to turn off and turn on all the flows inside my solution using another flow, I tried using the power automate management turn off an turn on step but that connectors is not listing the flows inside the solution. Is there any alternate approach to restart all the flows inside the solution ?.@powerautomate
While I am not aware of a way to filter by Flows in a specific solution, but only list all Flows in an environment, here is an approach that might work for you if you really need this:
Inside the response returned by List Flows as Admin
sometimes there is a field called "workflowEntityId"
If this field is present, I believe this means the Flow is in a solution, and if the field is not present, it is not in a solution.
You can use an Apply to Each and a Variable to create a new Array out of the List Flows as Admin which only have those Flows which are in a solution.
The problem now lies in, that there is no way to know which solution it is in, as the workflowEntityId are unique for each Flow and do not directly correlate to a specific solution.
If you really need this, the only way I can think of, is:
1. Go to https://us.flow.microsoft.com/ and then solutions
2. Open your solution in the UI
3. Open each Flow, and take a note of this URL
https://us.flow.microsoft.com/manage/environments/aaaaaaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaa/solutions/bbbbbbbb-bbbb-bbbb-bbbb-bbbbbbbbbbbb/flows/cccccccc-cccc-cccc-cccc-cccccccccccc?utm_source=solution_explorer
In the above, it is the part with the b's after /solutions/ and before /flows/ that shows up as workflowEntityId in List Flows as Admin.
4. Take a note manually of the bbbbbbbb-bbbb-bbbb-bbbb-bbbbbbbbbbbb part.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 for each Flow in the Solution.
6. At the top of the Flow, create a Compose or Initialize Variable, and using syntax like ["1","2","3"] put the list of all the workflowEntityId inside it.
7. Using Initialize Variable, as well as List Flows as Admin, select the environment the solution is in, and then add a step to use an Apply to Each to iterate over each individual Flow, from inside that Apply to Each use another Apply to Each inside it and iterate over the list of workflowEntityId to check if any of the workflowEntityId are in the current element - if it is, append to an Array Variable initialized at top of Flow - and if not, do nothing.
8. In the end, the Variable will have Array with only those Flows inside the specific solution. You can iterate over this Array now in a separate Apply to Each, turn the Flow off, and then turn the Flow on.
Right now I am not aware of a way to get a filtered list of the specific Flows in a specific solution using Power Automate, in case you really need to do this, I only have the idea above of going through and preparing a list of workflowEntityId manually.
Check if above helps.
Hi @vish_Trn74 ,
A simpler solution would be to do this in classic mode,
Now all your flows are turned OFF/ON in that specific solution.
Hope this helps 🙂
Kind Regards,
Shaik Sha

Hi, this works for unmanaged solutions only...
Is there anyway to do that for a managed solution?
(I am creating a cicd and my prod env is managed. due to that after every process all the flows are turned off and I need to turn them on one by one)
Hello,
have now the same prob .. i need to automate Turn On Flow / Turn Off Flow after updating an environment variable.
any new suggestions how to make it work with the Power Automate Management connector?
thanks
Hi MA_,
try to insert the ID of the flow:
If you want to list all flows of the environment use this action:
Dont forget to activate the pagination in the settings of the 'List Flows as Admin' action:
Best Klaus 😉
Although it doesn't scope to a solution, a manual way is to use legacy advanced find, look for processes, filter by something (I was able to scope to created on dates) and then select results and activate in bulk.
Flows are processes with a category of modern flow so that can be used as a filter condition too.
