Using Flow to sepeate Form to different SharePoint lists

Afternoon,

I am wondering if the following scenario might even be possible.

We have a requirement for using a Form to as part of a process which we'd like to replicate to another section of our department. As below:

* We have the Form which outputs results to a SharePoint List in location A

* Another area of the department would like to use the same Form that outputs the results to a list in within their departmental SharePoint

What I am looking into is whether or not there is a possible option within Flow that will allow this to happen, maybe adding a question to the Form along the lines of 'Are you from Dept A or B?' and then depending on the outcome, Flow recognises this and by setting a condition, Flow will output the data to the relevant SharePoint list?

I have been looking into manually setting up a Flow from scratch, but am not sure, unless I am missing something obvious that I am not missing anything here.

I appreciate that I have the other option of copying to form and using Flow to output the data to their SharePoint list and simply providing them the URL for that to happen.

Any help or advice would be most welcome.

Thanks.

Please see my additional comments on the first response (sorry I edited it instead of posting a new one).

One you add the trigger and the action block "Get response details", the edditor will automatically add the "Apply to each" block. You just need to add the condition inside it and select the proper expression.

Hope it helps

You are thinking on a Form like this, right?

If so, you can build a Flow that will trigger with each response, analyse the answer to "1. Source Dpt", and apply a different service logic depending on the response given, as you will see in the following screenshot:

test_forms_2.png

Please note the user that creates the Flow shall have access to both Sharepoint sites

Hope this helps

Hi,

Yes, that is right. So we have a form with a large number of questions, so I'll add another, like your example.

So if Dpt A is the response given, then Flow will send the Form data to Department A SharePoint list. However if the response is Dpt B, the Form data will be sent to Department B SharePoint list.

Thanks.

@JPChadd :

Another option you can try is to leverage the Office 365 User profile information.  If the department information is populated, it will eliminate the need to prompt users for where they work.  You can retrieve the user profile info of the individual who submitted the form via their email address (available from Dynamic properties for Get Response details).  This information is populated in Exchange and must be configured by an admin.

Hi,

Thanks, I will take a look at that.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for that, again I am not sure if that is something we do or utilise, so I'll look into that also.
