@Vedant28  you want to remove user's access from a SharePoint list item, list or site? You can remove access of user using Power Automate flow and call the flow from Power Apps

Hi, annajhaveri,

I'm stuck in finding a solution for removing access of a user from a sharepoint site using a power automate flow (http request action) triggered from power app.

Can you help me?

Thank you,

Marius

Remove access from the list.

Hi, annajhaveri,

Sorry for the late response. just wondering if there is a worka around on the issue.

1. I have a Power apps where user can be added and saved the added user to the list.

Present Condition: once list are added to the sharepoint list called "User List" than the backend team manually give permission to the user.

Desired solution:

once names added to the list grant permission for the sharepoint site to the user added in the User llist

@Vedant28 you can create a new with the item created trigger on the User List. In that flow you can add logic to grant user permissions on the SharePoint site.

Anna Jhaveri

Wondering the on how to add can you share the step like screen shot ? i tried to addlogic but i am unsuccessful

If you want to grant to a user access to a sharepoint site trough Power Automate flow, you need "Send an HTTP request to SharePoint" action.

Picture1.png

The BODY should be {'LoginName':'i:0#.f|membership|user email address'}

My problem is how do I remove the user from that security group of the sharepoint site with a Power Automate Flow. I think that I need to use the same action "Send an HTTP request to SharePoint", but I don't know what to write in the fields.

hi Dont have the access of the ad group.  i have an app and user information is saved in sharepoint list. further once the new  user is created from power apps than the user info are sved to the sharepoint list. So once name is added to the list i want to create a flow that will allow an access to the app and the sharepoint site

@Vedant28 if you are looking to give access to user on SharePoint site, the solution given by @mariusyooo  should work

Anna Jhaveri

@annajhaveri, I'm stuck with the flow to remove user access on SharePoint site. Can you help me?

@mariusyooo you can use REST API as follows to remove user from group

annajhaveri_1-1718706953057.png

Use below URI

_api/web/sitegroups('6')/users/RemoveByLoginName('@{encodeUriComponent('i:0#.f|membership|user@domain.com')}')

where '6' is the ID of the group from which you want to remove the user and replace user@domain.com with your user's login name.

{encodeUriComponent('i:0#.f|membership|user@domain.com')} should be provided via dynamic content -> expressions
