Dataverse without dynamics tables - can they be added?

Hi,
my customer has three environments DEV (sandbox), TEST(sandbox) and PROD (production).
Test and Prod were created with dynamics option enabled i.e. there are tables such as product, price list etc.
However, the DEV environment was created without those tables (dynamics apps were disabled)
The customer has the D365 Sales licence.

Is there any way how to add those tables there or shouuld we ditch the current DEV and create a new environment?
I was thinking about taking copy of test into dev, but I would lose things that are only on DEV now..
If I take only the tables I´m afraid I will lose some hidden process or functionality...

is there any best practice for this situation? anyone experienced similar situation?
I could not find much in official documentation...

Hi @Hancha ,

I'd rather suggest you creating a new environment with dynamics enabled. Once that's there, adding other modules on top of it is better. 

If you have components in Dev, so make a solution and then transfer to newly created Dev environment.

But if you are trying to make changes to existing Dev environment, try installing modules from PPAC (Admin center)

You might not see all apps but you can install Sales module

For example: I have a dataverse environment and here I can add Sales

Install necessary modules, which you feel you need. 

But I'd say, rather than missing. I'd prefer new environment and copy customizations there.

we will probaly create a new Dev as you suggested
seems as the easiest way
adding the sales app was the first thing I tried but as the Dev in question was created without dynamics the installation failed on missing sales tables..

Hi @Hancha ,

If your dev was set up without d365 tables I guess basically everything in it is custom. So if not done jet, create a new solution and get all your objects including sub components in. Export this solution as unmanged.

Create a new environment with D365 option and import your solution. 

Compare if anything is missing.

At best your development was done in a custom solution already using your own publisher. Because then you can find all your own objects based on the prefix.

it is what we did..I was just wondering if there is another way than ditching the whole environment...in our case it was not a problem but I cannot imagine that you have environment with a number of well-established apps, flows etc..

Hi @Hancha 

I think you can Export the Solution Components from Dev and Create a new and import it so that it won't affect the changes in Dev too.
