Filter AAD User Table in Dataverse on PowerApps screen

Hello Power users,

I'm building a canvas app based on dataverse table. For person column (same as People picker), I'm using AAD User table which consists of all departments.  I would like to use only a specific department (IT). Each user in this department has IT at the end of display name like "David, Hornstien (IT) ". I wanted to use only people from that department, so that other user names were skipped from the form that only IT people can use. So, I created a view with filter that contain "(IT)" in the display name to get all IT department users. Would like add these view to a collection and use it in the app and unable to do it. Also, when I try to pull user properties like Mail,DisplayName,GivenName, SurName..etc was showing blank values. Only Display Name is working fine.

One last question on patching to that people picker column in dataverse table. How would I need to patch a people picker value to the column(Either from powerApps or Power Automate), like adding Odata parameters in case of sharepoint list. Unable to figure out how would I do on dataverse list column for people picker column that is referencing to AAD user table.

Was new to dataverse and unable to find the right source for these. Any help or suggestions on these please?

Have you tried the below to select your view?

For the patch do you mean you have lookup column on the AAD user table on the another table and you need to save it ?

Thanks for the quick help. I tried same steps you mentioned using the table and selecting the view for the data. I'm having trouble in performing operations on that view , If I want to filter from the view from the table it's not working out. Would like to add this view data to a collection and use from there, that's not even working out. Any help on this please?

And for the patching I would like to update the person column ( that is referencing the same AAD User table). Do I need to give user name or email address to satisfy the column value or update this column from another person column ( that is referencing the same AAD User table).

When you are saying a person column do you mean you want to update a person column on a sharepoint list?

I am just trying to understand the whole scenario.

I'm trying to update on dataverse table. Filter a value and copy one person value from one list to another.
