N:N relationship records not showing in subgrid

Hi,

I have a subgrid on the form of a Model-driven app which is showing a N:N relationship.  This N:N relationship is between 2 entities that are the same entity (which I am wondering if this is the cause of the issue).  I have added records to this relationship but for some reason the subgrid is empty.  If I look at the Related records associated view I can see the related records.  For some reason they are just not showing up in the subgrid.

I have checked the subgrid filters.

Any ideas?

I was about to raise a ticket but have figured it out since (sort of).  When I looked at the N:N relationship definition in the classic Solution explorer I noticed that the Display Option for both sides of the relationship was set to Use Plural Name.  This ended up showing the entity twice in the Related tab on the form - one showed no records (I think because this was showing a relationship of the record to itself?) and the other showed records. 

I then set one of the Display Options to Do not Display on the Relationship.  On the form, I also removed the subgrid and then added the it back using the classic Solution explorer.

That ended up resolving the issue.

Hi @HSheild Sorry for the late reply! That doesn't sound right...the Display Option does not impact the filtering or visibility of subgrid records. The issue seems to be with Maker portal. If you add the subgrid via Maker, records don't show but via classic form designer, it works as expected. So strange! Haven't look at the cusotmization.xml to see the difference, but you should definitely raise a bug at Microsoft if you haven't already 🙂

I'm having the same issue and I don't understand the solution, sorry,

I have a N:N relationship between two tables and when I edit the Form of each one I can't add the field to loojup on the other table. Went to the classic mode and saw that the display mode is in plural name but if I change one of them to Do Not Display I still can't put the field into the form.

The image shows that I can see the table in the related ones but I can't add it to the body of the form

The left panel is the navigation pane. It's not how we add subgrid to a form. To add a subgrid see this documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/add-move-configure-or-delete-components... Cheers

I had the same issue. You can fix this in the FormXML with parameter "RelationshipRoleOrdinal".

I'm with the same problem, my 

 <RelationshipRoleOrdinal>2</RelationshipRoleOrdinal>

is with value "2" and the record do not show in both sides.

I tried the verified answer, but it was not working. Then I added the subgrid using the classic interface and resolved my problem.
