Published PowerApp did not save to Git repository

I opened up my Git-stored PowerApp and realised that the code was out of date - the live published version has my latest updates, but not the version that opens in the studio..

I can only assume that when I last saved and published the app, it didn't commit the changes to the Git repo - evidently a bug.

To fix it, I had the idea of cloning the repo, updating it manually with the changes, and making a new commit. I therefore tried exporting the app as a zip, but unfortunately the resulting archive doesn't match the structure in the Git repo, preventing a simple replacement of the files in the repo. Does anyone have any ideas?

My GitHub sync works but only for one session. I can't save or publish. If I close without saving, I lose all changes, including the setting that enabled the git repo!

And I can't publish because publishing requires saving first, and I can't save because I see the error that the app name already exists. This error only happens with a git repo configured, but not otherwise.

I also get this error every time I open the app settings in the canvas editor:

Turn on 'Improve data source experience and Microsoft Dataverse views'
Please turn on Improve data source experience and Microsoft Dataverse views' prior to enabling this app

But the dialog has no buttons and does not reference what specifically I enabled that caused the issue, not to mention that the 'Improve data source experience and Microsoft Dataverse views' setting appears to be gone.

Has this issue been resolved or is there a workaround to overcome this issue.  Currently having similar issues whereby the PowerApp Publish button doesn't save to GIT.
