Issue with displaying Web/Advanced Form in Edit Mode - Power App Portal

Hi , 

Issue when displaying the Web Form (in Progress applications) in Edit Mode from the Entity List view page.

We have 2 Web Forms (1 for Insert mode and the second for Edit Mode) with 3 web form steps that show 3 forms from the entities A, B, and C. (A is 1:N to B, B is 1:N C). When a user tries to create a new application all the forms are loaded correctly in the insert mode. 

When we try to open an existing Application i.e. the Web form with edit mode from the entity list view, the first step is shown ok but when we click on the Next button, the next step/form is not loaded and a blank screen is displayed instead. Please guide what could be missing or wrong here? The user should be able to view the application from where he/she left off while creating the Application record.

So in the current way you are adding Entity B and Entity C in insert mode , are they getting linked to Entity B?

I think you need to add first Step as Insert,  Second Step as Update looking on a form where Entity B as a sub grid

@Mira_Ghaly Thanks for the response. You are right that there should be a subgrid of Entity B on A but here is my scenario:

- We have an Application entity which is 1:N with Application Detail entity and this is 1:N with Other Details entity.

- Though it is 1:N but an Application will have only 1 related Application Detail and an Application Detail will have 1 related Other Details record.

The structure is like this as these entities are used elsewhere as well for other purposes. We wont be able to change this behaviour, so is there any way to make it work? During the insert mode everything works fine but when you open the Application record from the Entity List (Application) view, the first step i.e. Application form is loaded correctly and the next step is shown blank.

 @Mira_Ghaly , Thanks very much for writing this blog and explaining everything step by step.  I have 1 question, from the Application entity list view when a user clicks on Application Id - how do we open that particular Web Form Step where the user left off last time while filling the application?

Do we need to save the webform session-id somewhere and pass that as a query string parameter? If so; could you please share an example of how do we do this?

In the scenario I discribed I assumed that the user is a logged in user and the applications are retrieved based on this based on who submitted the application, so the Id is passed automatically from the edit item action to the update application web page.
