PowerApps Portal Entity List - "View Details" renders first column as not visible?

Hi all,

I have multiple Entity Lists that have Item Actions attributed to them. Previously, this meant that the first column of the Entity List would display as a hyperlink to the Item Action, but at some point all of our lists stopped displaying this hyperlink and now display an empty first column! I can't work out what caused this change, or how to rectify it so the list displays information correctly!

I've attached some screenshots; we have one Entity List that is a single column list which has now been rendered useless by this. Any assistance is much appreciated!

EDIT: This definitely seems to be occurring due to the hyperlinks in the first column. When I Inspect Element, I can see that the <a> tags exist but are completely empty. When I switch off the "View Details" option, the data is visible again (but this isn't very useful to me as I need it to be able to be selected!)

Did you add any JavaScript that could be causing this?

Can you share more details on how you setup the page / lists? I can to reproduce here, and then share with Microsoft if I can replicate

I did have some custom JS on some pages which I did investigate as a possible cause, but this was even affecting lists on pages where I'd only used basic OOB components as well.

Using the Portal editor I created a new page, added a list as a component, and clicked the "View details" toggle, which I pointed at a Form. It's worth noting that these lists did previously display the data in that column correctly - I'm not sure at what point this stopped, but no settings had been changed for several months. It seems to have just stopped displaying of its own accord!

Can't give more details at the moment as I may have accidentally deleted the Portal site altogether when trying to delete a temporary test list I created while investigating this (I know, incredibly dumb mistake!! Sent a support ticket and praying they can help, currently screaming in the stationery cupboard 😭)

@aliceCPM oh nooooo 🙈

I am really sorry to hear that, I hope you recover your data.

Do you think you could have changed CSS as well? perhaps it's causing a knock on effect on multiple areas in your portal

I thought the same thing, but I switched to a default CSS setup to test it and the issue persisted

We noticed the same issue in our portal. Hyperlinks to the detail form in an entity list stopped working recently and give blank field values in the list. It happened on all lists of one entity, but not on a list for a different entity.

In our case we solved it by changing the order of the fields in the list. The field that was not visible as a hyperlink was a text field with multiple lines. Changing the order to a date field or a normal text field as the first field solved the issue. It looks like the field type in the entity list may be the issue, however it worked fine before.

This issue is still persisting - yet to find a solution! As Diederik76 noted, this seems to happen only on fields that are of type Multiline Text. Not sure why this stopped working, but at least I know what to avoid now!
