Excel to edge.

Hi guys.

I'm currently struggling with something I've tried to create.

I have a excel document where column A is full of the customer order numbers with about 30k rows.

Currently I've got Power Automate to ;

Read Excel.

Copy the current cell ( As i'd be babysitting this while it runs anyway)

Launch our customer base which runs through edge.

Pastes the clipboard text into a search box and presses search, then on the next page selects the ID number to bring us into the account history listing all of that customers previous order ID's.

It will then search the webpage for text via "Webpage property" against the clipboard text, if not found it'll go to the next page.

This is where I start to struggle as it will not detect the clipboard text on our website, I think this is because on our website its a hyperlink as text, not just text.

If I wanted to finish this script it'd look this like (marked orange for what's already been done, red is not done/need advice)

I'm really struggling with this end part and I'm unsure why.

On the last step I need to put something like "click ui element" the correct number to search for is still saved to the clip board but I cant find a way to get it to press the link that matches the clipboard contents

Don't think it matters that its a hyperlink, either-way, here's a few things you could try:

-Make sure to clean your copied cell text, it might not be matching with the text on the page by simply a space or a new line, there's an action to do this (Trim text), as copying from excel isn't perfect.

-If its not that, try putting a 1 second wait time just before the if statement as sometimes the page doesn't load in time with the flow, which can also cause this.

-Finally, if it somehow is indeed because its a hyperlink text, instead of looking for text, look for a UI element instead with a dynamic variable, that dynamic variable would be your clipboard text, you could also just scrape all the text from the entire page and do a Parse text to look for your clipboard text as well. Let me know if you don't know how to do these, I'll explain it best I can.

Instead of copying from Excel, use Read from Excel spreadsheet to get the data into a variable. Then, where you're pasting it into the web page, use Populate text field in web page instead, to write the variable value into the search. And then, since you also have it as a variable, you can also check if the web page contains the text via using If web page contains and passing the variable there as the text to search for.
