I need to Move files from one folder to another using the Property '.CreationTime'

I have tried the following PAD action

The date variables have been checked and are correct

The isues is the error 'Files3' does not have a property '.CreationTime' appears

When I look at Files3 '.CreationTime' is a Property - what do I need to do to filter/select/move files by '.CreationTime'?

You're doing a for loop on files3, yet you're also telling it to look for .CreationTime in files3, switch it to Currentitem.CreationTime, as with the way you're doing right now you're asking for the "CreationTime" property on the entire list of files rather than one file at a time.

Do you want to compare Current File with Yesterday? Try to update Files3 with CurrentItem

I have tried what you suggested and checked that the dates %Yesterday% and %ResultedDate% were in the same MM/dd/yyy format (our reginal format is dd/MM/yyy). I also used >= to overcome the date time difference but are unsre if that is the way to handle the time difference, or if that is necessary? 

I get this error now but presume this is not date releated.

Any other thoughts please!

Move to files should also be moving Currentitem, not files3, should've noticed that, my bad.

Could you try @Pavel_NaNoi suggestion ? just update 'file3' with 'CurrentItem'.

I have another probelm and hope you can help

I need to Move the files into a folder but the folder name changes daily

When the folder is created it has the name of the previous days date - in other works if created on the 11 March 2023, part of the folders name would be 10 Mar 2023. This is achieved in the Flow

When running the Flow it will make Date this new folder yesterdy

I need to move the files into the folder made on the previous day, day before yesterday

I have used the Action Get subfolders in Folders but the variable produced is a list.

I can't fathom how to move the folder needed from the list into a variable that is a folder so it can be used in the Move files to folder action

Try:

-Get current date and time

-Subtract dates (to get the correct date time you want)

-Use Parse Text action, and parse the list of subfolders via a regular expression option ticked and look for the date time you've just made.

-The match variable produced will be your folder name.

I believe I understand what you have outlined.

I used Get sub Folders in Folder as that allows a folder filter but creates a list

However, I can’t move files into a Folder that is in a list as the Move files action says ‘Destination Folder must be Folder’

Can I find the path of the folder in the list as it appears a path is required for the Move files action?

I’ll try the Parse text action also

Will the variable 'Match' store a folder path?

I have checked the dates as the Parse action isn't providing a Match variable

I don't know if thats an issue with Parse or if Parse can't store a Folder path?

You're almost there, just got confused a little, re-enable the subfolders actions, and pass the list that it produces as the text for the parse text, put position to 0 as well, there's rarely a reason to bother with that. This should now give you a match that you can work with, if it comes back empty that means there was no folder found for that date, if it does that means the folder exists and you can go from there.
