PAD can launch Edge to a specific URL, but other navigations actions fail

Action "launch new MS Edge" to a specific URL works, although it doesn't wait for the URL to finish rendering. The next action ("go to web page" in existing browser instance) fails with "failed to navigate". 

Attach to existing browser window by URL (instead of launch a new one) has the same result. First action works, then navigate fails.

Here's the kicker, this worked perfectly yesterday 10/10, but today 10/11 it fails. The only change to my system was some Windows update.

I've tried reinstalling the browser plugin, re-creating the entire flow from scratch, restarting my system, trying another browser profile. I'm at my wits end.

This flow ran literally 2000 times yesterday without a single issue, and now I need to have it look through another 300 loops and it's driving me crazy.

What else can I troubleshoot?

Try using Run application instead to launch the browser. Set "edge.exe" as the app to run and put your URL to the parameters field. Then use Wait for window to wait for the page to load, as the title of the page will be in the window title. So, you can wait for a specific window by using its title and class. When it loads, you can use Launch new Microsoft Edge to attach to the browser.

This is a thing I generally always use to launch browsers, because Chrome has been totally inconsistent with whether or not it loads the extension in time for PAD to think it launched properly. This approach has never failed me over the years that I've been using it.

I tried it out and all seems go to well but the same navigate step still fails.

What's in %CurrentItem%? It seems like it contains a data row and not a single value. If your table has a single column, I suggest trying %CurrentItem[0]%

Nope that variable only holds one value at a time, a single row of a CSV file, which itself is just an integer (although it's used as a string and concatenated to the URL).  This is literally just opening up webpage of user.php?userid=X for each value of X in a CSV text file.  Worked fine in Edge until the latest Windows update restart, still works fine in Chrome.  I reinstalled the plugin and the entire PAD suite (and then the browser plugin again). It just *has* to be something that changed in Edge or Windows it seems like.  Especially because I have many computers and only this one computer fails at the navigate step.  But I can't seem to determine what caused it.

I guess since it works in Chrome I can just use it, but I honestly prefer to not even have Chrome installed.

I created a simple test case example flow as a demonstration if you wish. I basically changed this flow to visit a URL that requires no login.

Populate a CSV with some lines of example text:

It *should* (and previously did) work fine even if I never had PAD open the browser, but just attach to an already-open one.

Well, I've just tested it on a Windows 11 machine and it works fine. I could not reproduce the issue. You might want to contact MS support about this. Maybe they can help you find the specific problem.
