Patch Formula - Canvas App

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can please help with a Patch Formula for the Final Challenge Canvas App please?

Patch(Animals, galAnimalList.Selected, {'Shelter Status': "Claimed for Foster", 'Foster Claimer': DropdownFosterID.Selected})

The error is:
"The type of this argument 'wf_shelterstatus' does not match the expected type 'OptionSetValue (Shelter Status (Animals))'. Found type 'Text'.

Shelter Status is a Choice column that includes the choice Claimed for Foster

Foster Claimer is a lookup column to the Foster People Table

I just retyped it from scratch and the below now works 🎉

Patch(Animals, galAnimalList.Selected, {'Shelter Status':'Shelter Status (Animals)' .'Claimed for Foster'})

Now to get the Foster persons name into the record!  I like the idea of 2 separate formulas @evahas 

can I push our friendship and ask you and/or @Krishnavarma  to help with that too please?

Woohoo!! So glad it works! I will need to sign off now but I will check tomorrow am to see if I can help in any way.

This is what I used: 

Patch(  Animals, FosterMe, {'Foster Claimer': FormName.LastSubmit}

FosterMe is a variable I set in the OnSelect of the gallery where the animal is chosen. You would use your galAnimallist.Selected if you didn't set a variable.
